- AnehaliaRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Overall this is a good story with some minor nitpicks on my side. The thing I loved most about this story was the plot. I felt that the plot was really tightly crafted and well developed. Even with the nitpicks I am about to bring up I still recommend reading this story because it was an enjoyable read.
In some place the dialogue felt very stiff and formal. I also noticed a lack of character description and I think the author could greatly improve this story by going in and fleshing out the descriptions.
I gave the story a 5* rating because I thought the story structure and plot of this short story were really well crafted and lead up to the finale well.
I gave the style a 3* rating because while the story has some description, it tends to not describe the people in the setting. There was also some very formal and stiff dialogue between people that were supposedly friends (they did not feel like friends in their manor of speech).
Grammar I gave a 3.5 rating to. Overall it was not that bad and did not detract from my enjoyment of reading.
I gave the character score a 4 due to the same things as style. I had no idea what most of the characters looked like, and the speech felt very stiff. I did feel sympathy for the main character and I did get a sense of the pain their family faced which is why it was a 4 instead of the 3 I gave to style. - RznRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This has a good foundation with a motive and a plot as well as a clear conclusion, which is good in any complete story. Turning to banditry and having clearly not thought this through, the characters set out to do. There is no mastermind behind this and it works. It was good, but it really did not have a lot of character development as it relied on simply being unsatisfied (a far cry from starving) as the motivation for their actions.
