Description

-This story does -not- have a Harem.-

-This is not a finished product and will contain spelling/grammar/editing errors-Dominic has lived his life in a backwater village without any hope of attaining a strong Class. His life was destined to be lived as a Villager at worst, or a Farmer at best.

A young man lacking in prospects, wealth, or a future. Destined to live and die without much to show for it.

Except over the next day, he's going to get everything he hoped for, while also losing anything he depended on.

He'll go from being a nobody to a Prince-In-Hiding, becoming the last of a long thought extinct Royal line. To wield the family's weapon and take back the throne that was stolen from his ancestors.

It's time for the axe to fall, and heads to roll.

    good book. Only thing I'd ask for more of is a more explained system as we don't really see the screen often or make it an invisible system. Good plotline with nice linear progression and reason for our main character to be strong a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a

The story follows Nick, who becomes the rightful heir to the kingdom, following the murder of his father. He becomes an adventurer and together with the one person still loyal to his family, looks for ways to lay low as the descendents of the usurper seek his death. An enjoyable tale of the consequence of others violating system contracts with you.

This is an excellent story by a fantastic author. It's trippy that it is even being posted on here. Will is a well-established writer, and for him to post a story for free for the fans is freaking awesome, in my opinion. Okay, enough fanboy on to the meat of the review.
I gave this story 5 stars for a couple of reasons. One, it's well written. The style, grammar, and character development are on point. The story starts out fast, and the pacing stays pretty good. I'm a long-time Patreon of the author, so I'm pretty far into the story, and I can say it only gets better.
The overall plot feels like a good twist on the King incognito trope, with the MC being raised as an ordinary guy only to find out he's actually a King. But in this case, he finds out in the beginning. The LitRPG element of the story is pretty straightforward and easy to follow. It's not super stats heavy, which can get annoying but still enough there to keep you interested in the MC's stats.
I like the MC. He feels authentic and genuine. Classic snarky, but also smart. The choices he makes feel true and relatable. There are no "OMFG don't do that momments" that I've seen so far. Most of all, Will's story stays in the MC's POV, which I can appreciate. These stories get crazy sometimes with so many different POVs. Even in the super-popular stories on RR, I end up skipping chapters because I don't find the side character's POVs that interesting. Sometimes they get it right, but a lot of the time, they don't. But it's not something you need to worry about in this story. One POV.
Overall it's a dang good fantasy. I'm confident that if you give it a gamble, you will get sucked into a well-crafted tale written by a talented author.
