Hazel is a war widow who steps into the realm of spirits after her life shatters beyond repair. When she accepts a Faustian deal from the spirit of Fear himself, she becomes a reluctant anchor in a crumbling world where belief is dying, spirits are fading, and truth wears many faces.

To stand a chance, Hazel and Shadow must navigate each other’s grief, mistakes, and stubbornness—with the help of one pipe-smoking friend, an unsettling number of bees, and more tea than anyone would expect from an ancient spirit of nightmares.
