The ant's song

Arriving in a new world, humans were the only ones unable to use magic. After a few peaceful years, a bloody war broke out between humankind and the nymphs, creatures most skilled in magic.

Several centuries passed. Hiding behind the walls, humans in all eight kingdoms are trying to use all the technology they can to fight against the constant threat from the nymphs. But if the ends justify the means, the potential loss of humanness is comparable to losing the war.

The storylines take place simultaneously.

Cornelia, a princess of the Castro kingdom, desires to aid her people struggling in the harshest territory and to challenge her father’s oppressive reign.

Meanwhile, in the Vardana Kingdom, Ashwin, a young son of a vizier who was accused of treason, captured and sentenced to a brutal execution.

A year later, after moving to the South-West, the hunchback girl, Bug, finds a strange magic artifact that forever changes her life as an outcast.

Their different approaches may lead to a disastrous end or open different paths for people’s future.
