In a world where realities converge and myths, legends, and gods are real, it is once again time for War!

Enter the fantastical fictional world of a High Fantasy/Xianxia style novel, where reincarnation is a normal part of life, with a character-driven plot. You will find many of the usual tropes, but many of them with a TWIST.

Ikrei, our main protagonist, is an orphan, a small-time forest hunter searching for a better life. Unbeknownst to him, he has his own dark past that he doesn't remember.

Now the trumpet of fate, destiny, and serendipity calls for him to join the fray once more with the ancient order he once served in a previous life. He isn't ready; he isn't even the hero of this story.

His quest for a brighter future starts with a desperate attempt to join the elite class of humans that inhabit his world. In a place where danger abounds, power rules and corrupts. Friends and enemies betray. Ikreiwill find himself involved in intrigues, secrets, and many more things than he could have ever imagined.

If you like a gigantic, convoluted, larger-than-life, all things are possible kind of tale, this is the story for you!

Please join Ikrei and this author as I retell a story that has been in our family for years. Perilous times, a plenty in the fantastical, magical, and crazy world of Ladnahlayr...

This is a slow-burning, yet rewarding, mix of styles. Book One is complete.

Ikrei's adventures will continue in the next one. We will be back!

    I read up to chapter 10, first of all the prologue was pretty interesting, i enjoyed the unexplained worldbuilding since it left room for curiosity to brew and a sense of a bigger world out there, I’m not used to first person pov works but it was easy to follow on the prologue and the character monologue was very unhinged which was amusing, the fight scene was decent but it could use some tightening but overall it was an enjoyable and unique read.
    Now spoiler alerts for anyone checking this and didn’t read yet;
    For the actual chapters up to chapter ten, the dynamics between Ikrei and Teng were interesting, their daily life as orphan kids is tragic but seeing them try to make something out of it kept slightly hooked, though at first i was a bit ticked off since it seemed irrelevant to the prologue then i got the part where what happened in the prologue was mentioned in Lyros pov when he got appointed as high priest and I made the connection between the two events myself. Another interesting concept is the reveal where Ikrei is told by Freslia that he’s actually reincarnated when she is taking him in for the expedition and goes as far as getting him into a training regime by one of her people, makes me wonder why he is THAT important to her and who was he before reincarnation.
    Shakam Pov was a bit funny to me because his name in my native language is an insult to those who act like puppets and get out of their way to do others bidding, thus why when he denied it in his monologue i found it funnier, and at the end of his chapter confrontation, he lived up to his name and got pushed into a war, or rather commanded into one lol. And he went as far as getting his daughter caught up on all this. Not a great guy.
    Overall, it was a good read, I advise you again to rework the grammar and punctuation, lots of potential there and the story could establish itself even more with the right amount of work, perhaps shorten the conversation between Freslia and Alzra, there was a lot
