He had it pretty okay.

He had a corpo-esque job.

But he wanted to do more. He wanted to help fight against the antithesis threat, to be out there saving people and killing the bad guys! Not just sitting at a desk working a sales job.

Now he has the power to live one of his dreams at long last and take the fight to the alien threat! With his AI companion, a massive love for history, and a love of diesel punk stories he is going to finally live his best life. Or at least try to.

Who knew mowing down aliens with machine guns was so cathartic? Unfortunately for him he lives close enough to Washington D.C. for some old world politics to be a pain. Not to even mention the fact there are pretty much no other Samurai local anymore. What can one history nerd do?

    A different take on the SCS Fanfic world. Most fanfics in this world have been spread out all over the north side of the globe, but none have really delved into the heart of the culture of the United States. Most that have been in the states have either avoided the history of it, or simply delved into their own city states. This one seems to be set in the heart of the old world political power center. It's still early, only chapter 8 at the time of writing this, but I see it going to interesting places with a unique brand of Vanguard.

    This is a pretty great story so far. The grammar is on point, and I find it very amusing that the MC almost seems to have some sort of historical weapons fetish. Also, I do feel like I have to mention that the MC is a guy because alot of the other SCS fanfictions have gal MCs.
    Solid beginning to a story, and I am looking forward to more.
