Magic cannot simply beused. In order to be Wielded, the user must first be attuned. It is around attunement that the order of the world has been built, each great house of the land laying claim to a lone attuner. Karast to blades, Ivoth to armor, Metheus to fire, and even the lesser houses to their own spheres of focus.But there is one attuner to which none can lay claim, that of life. The house of Aravon, in the final days of their fall, turned it against the world in a final act of spite. In its raging, the foul Twistwood grew, its flourishing depths issuing forth all the terrible and unnatural creatures of the world.

Some say it still lurks there, feeding the fecund horrors of the wood, awaiting the day it is reclaimed or destroyed.
