Book Five - LOKI'S GAMBIT

With the promise of the First Mage not to act against him, Loki now accelerates his plans. A plot millennia in the making, spanning the length and breadth of Adar. Book Four - VOID LANDS

The Void Lands. A place where gods fear to tread. Where strange creatures and hostile beings emerge. A nexus of dimensions, the origins of which are lost in the mists of time.

To stop the Aztecha Empire’s march to power and domination of the eastern lands, Tyler West, now a High Mage, must confront and defeat the empire’s mysterious patrons. Beings of incredible might and magical knowledge. An imperative path which leads him right to the Void Lands. Though a few detours are required, each dangerous yet crucial.

The only problem is that the Void Lands are on the other side of the continent. And to get there, he may have to ask a favor from the Trickster God himself, the Norse deity known as Loki.

Book Three - BLOOD WARS

Continuing our lost mage's epic journey through the magical and extremely dangerous world of Adar.

Escaping the convoluted schemes of the Greek pantheon, Tyler finds himself with an old acquaintance, the Incan deity Viracocha.  His son, the sun god Inti, is dead. With the Aztecah Empire and its powerful pantheon of deities on the bloody road to more conquests, the deity asks for his help. A request he could easily refuse.

Except Viracocha is not alone is asking for his aid. Two other pantheons have made their presence known to the young mage. And the Egyptian deities are watching how he will decide the matter. To add to his burdened conscience, the rise and dominance of the Aztecah pantheon would mean a million or more new human sacrifices. Resulting in extremely overpowered bloodthirsty deities.

What's a newly minted Elder apprentice mage to do? Involve himself in a blood war?

Book Two - GIFTS OF THE GREEKS

Tyler's journey continues. New land, misadventures, friends, foes, skills, and knowledge. Confused encounters of the female kind.

More deities become aware of Tyler as he continues his quest to survive, reach his potential, and carry out his burden.

Amid convoluted plans designed by divine acquaintances of old and newly met gods, what's an ordinary guy from Earth to do?The god of wine wants to be his friend. Ares and his sons are coming to say hello.

Book One - RAGNAROK RISING

What if you fell through a crack in reality? Like those people disappearing in plain sight you've read about.

What if you find yourself in a strangely familiar world? A world full of Earth’s mythological beings, lost civilizations, and people from its primitive and brutal past? Where magical energy still exists. Where gods play games among themselves, with the fate of mortal men as pawns. A land where a sword is deadlier than a five-inch thick contract drawn by a hotshot lawyer. Would you survive?

That's Tyler West. Alone, lost and bewildered, the three moons in the sky made it clear he wasn’t on Earth anymore. It’s not a game. It’s real. And there's no coffee, pizza, fries, or his favorite show on HBO.

This story deserves to be one of the top in the leaderboards in my opinion. It is very well written, to the point that I feel like I am not reading a story on RR, but a fantasy novel I purchased in store. The character could use some tweaks, maybe adding some details to his background on why he can get so mad or have the emotional outbursts he experiences, but otherwise it is well done. The story and plot are well written and planned out, and with how it's written leaves the reader not knowing what's going to happen, in a good way. There are few if any cliché scenes. The grammar is great, with only one or two errors in the whole story I've read so far.
Thank you author for the wonderful journey Tyler experiences and please keep up the good work!

This series REALLY reminded me of the Fimbulwinter series starring Daniel Black by William Brown.
So if you liked Fimbulwinter, then you will DEFINITELY like this.  Sadly, the ONLY thing this lacks now is the good s*x stuff (side note, if you want to read Fimbulwinter, be WARNED...it has Adult themes too). Ok. Maybe this is the PG-13 version of Fimbulwinter? lol.
All in all, a good romp with an MC transported to a world of magic, minimal to no science, though....science that is advanced enough to resemble magic can just as easily be called 'super high' science...muahaha...Magically Focused High Energy Light Amplication Super Energetic Resonance beams anyone?(per Elder naming methods) or we can call it a MASER beam...
Our MC is modern man stuck in ancient world. Gotta survive in the face of gods, magics and supernatural shenanigans. Just another day at the isekai romp! Good stuff.
So if you like that kind of story, this is one for you bud.

At first one might think, that this story has a weird approach. But, I would like to emphasize the word "But", a couple of chapters down the track; you realize this is a 'diamond in the rough'.
5 stars mate, keep it rolling.

Everytime i check back I'm left satisfied. I love how you portrayed the gods, unpredictability always gets me good. And what's better than an unpredictable god whp could turn you into ashes with less than a blink, no matter how op you become. Probably a mad god. Luckily you got us some of them.
Take the time you need. Post quality > posting frequency. Don't let us influence you too much. Your style is strong. Go hard.

In terms of overall quality, much higher than the average on here.
If you like the idea of a Magic using Mc, running around in alternate world, with old world gods and getting up to mischeif. Then this book is definetely worth a read.
I defintely recommend checking this story out :D

    Overall/TL:dr: 6/5
Great Story. The theme is a World where all Lore from eath, at least concerning gods, appears in realitly. The protagonist has to find himself in the mids of many different interests while slowly learning his place.
    Style: 5/5
The author tells his story in a way which facilitates reading. Havent seen anything distrubing me so far ( in a sense of stocking and having to think about what the author could possibly mean)
    Grammar: 5/5
As english is just my second language my judgement might not be the best, but I havent noticed any flaws( this can be taken with a grain of salt).
    Story: 5/5
Well the theme of the story is earthern mythology come to life in a different world/ is reality, experienced by a person originally from our normal earth wihtout any special skills who has to survive while being in the middle of the interesets of several powerful beings.
    Character: 6/5
This is where the story really shines: The characters are well writen and, if you had a knack for gods since early childhood ( thx aoe: am) you will love it.

(Chapter 15 Review) The story begins with the MC falling into a lake on another world and saved from drowning by a mysterious female. Later he encounters Norse people and a culture like Pagan Scandinavia complete with the Old Norse Gods! The MC is a self-reliant individual, not particularly heroic but not a weakling either. There are no romantic elements as of yet, though the MC has met some powerful female beings that have looked on him with interest. As a story it reminds me of Old School works like L. Sprague de Camp and Fletcher Pratt's The Incomplete Enchanter or the more modern E. William Brown's Fimbulwinter(Daniel Black #1). The story with some polish and a good ending is a professional grade product.

I like your story. It is interesting enough but after reading all chapters except like the last 4 of Book one, I couldn't continue anymore. I didn't want to write this review since I saw that you already rewrote much of this and I didn't want to potentially fuck up your flow.
However, since you are revising, I am inclined to put some food for thought and tell you why I couldn't finish your story.
    ---------
    I liked your premise.
    I liked your grammar.
I liked your vocabulary (though you should always strive for more)
    -------
I didn't like your dialogue and exposition.
    Exposition
I feel that too much of your story is exposition upon exposition with more exposition. Too much exposition.
The thing is, you don't always have to describe 90 percent of everything you talk about. I don't mean this just in the way of adjectives and how they look. I mean this in the way of content.
When you describe say a building, FIRST ask yourself why you are even bothering to do so.
Is this building important to the story? Is this building going to show an aspect of the story that you will build upon either immediately, in the middle of the story, or will you be foreshadowing something by describing it?
Why should we the audience care about this building enough for you to invest space on your page to type words to describe it?
"If I completely removed the building from my story, will it actually have a significant impact on the story I am now writing about? Will it impact the story as a whole?"
That is a question you should be asking yourself.
I feel like this example represents much of your story in the aspect that too much is described and not enough is significant enough to actually care about.
    Dialogue
For me, it is hard to criticise this aspect of the story. For the longest time, I have had an issue with this but I don't completely understand why.
Obviously you should AVOID EXPOSITION in excess within dialogues.
Since I last checked, dialogue is a literary technique and should be treat

Not a fan of the plot ir the characters involved. Just seems like slop. You need to review or just start again
