- MalRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A really good Xianxia story. As long as you continue with great pacing I will read it!
Finally, a Xianxia that doesn't have 5 chapter fights! Also, the story is engaging and interesting. If it were a book, itd be a page turner.
Btw Im usually pretty harsh with my reviews, I only give five stars if grammer is good, pacing is good, etc. - ILoveAnimeRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Really liked this one. Prologue is nice and in depth. You really get the feel for mc characters backgrounds, and major feel at that. I read this conveniently just when all the prologue chapters were done so you could really see what direction story will continue afterwards.
Can't say about story yet as that hasn't been posted yet, but definitely best prologue in rrl. Really gives that emotion for main characters. - Nomad1791Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5First off cultivating stories arnt my favorites. With that said I enjoyed the hell out of this prequel ish story. Main MC has potential, he's not a giant dick, not chasing a harem, doesn't start mega OP. Now I'm rating this story as a quick prequel to up coming events. As a stand alone time jumps to much, development is skipped, things of prequel nature. Anyway good job author thanks for something enjoyable to read. Looking forward to your main story.
- kingsfunRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I almost gave up on this story because of how jumpy the progression was only to find it was building to the actual story.
- JazehiahRoyal Road★★ 2.0The story starts out as a tale about a young man who was abandoned by his master. It promises a tale of a character working to discover why his master betrayed him.
Then, all of a sudden there's a sixty year time skip and the mystery, cultivation and adventuring get thrown out the window. Next thing I know, I'm reading about an old man taking care of an older woman suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
To make matters worse, the author changes the main characters' names ten chapters in for no apparent reason without going back and editing the previous chapters. Either tell the story of Bai, or the story of Relic. I liked the first story. Bring it back. - highblast21Royal Road★ 0.5Edit: as the title suggest it seems the intro arc was the only thing worthy of mention here, the rest is your typical dumb illogical wuxia trope that you either hate, love or both. Honest Rush(author) should have just stuck to the original plot. It was new sort of, it was gripping and it can capture the audience. The next arc after the intro arc is slow and dumb. Honestly I'd rather read translated Chinese novels, though the both are dumb at least there is plenty of chapters. Not like this one where the next chapter are so predictably dumb

Original:A very good romantic wuxia novel, at the very least it's prequel, though a bit longer and arduous it might be but it was good enough to keep me flipping the next chapter till the start of the story proper, which comes to be the typical reincarnation wuxia but hey at least they got the prequel done right!
Some typos here and there but its kinda normal in this site so those can be ignored. Good pacing and I love how he places the time skips, not bad not bad indeed.
Overall very good novel to waste your precious time so go ahead and read it folks !
