- TealiciousTeaRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5So, this is but one chapter long and likely abandoned. An awesome and descriptive fight scene but the grammar is poor. The poor grammar is also weighed down by a lack of stylistic choices.
By style, I mean thoughts could be italicised for instance or put them in bold.
The main issues are that some words are missing along with the lack of commas and apostrophes. I don't mind the occasional error, but it is endemic to the entire short chapter and makes it difficult to follow and read what is happening. Suffice to say, some proofreading and grammar software would help a lot. Something like Grammarly for free or ProWritingAid for paid. - schreckRoyal Road★ 1.0Nice start in medias res. However, the first chapter is nothing but a fighting scene, without actually introducing a story. There is only a little bit of the lead character's feelings or disposition revealed.
Worse, though, is that the language is almost unreadable. One word out of five is misspelled, punctuation is lacking, and sentences are misconstructed.
