Description

Scamming an old friend at a game of cards? Robbing travelers? Committing... Well... Genocide? Perfectly reasonable means to become the greatest bounty hunter alive!

Though, once Tenner broke out of his neighborhood - a prison isolated from the rest of the world - things didn't all go according to plan. He didn't expect that the world was a wasteland. He didn't expect creatures, hungry for juicy human flesh, to live in that wasteland. He certainly wasn't ready for Realms, massive sphere cities run by mysterious Workers, and their mad priests. On top of all that, the ghosts of his past wouldn't let go of him...

This was going to be one hell of a journey.

This is definitely a unique take on LitRPGs. I've read a lot of them and can conclude that the idea of the story is good and refreshing.
Grammar in this novel is perfect. I can't really spot anything that would disrupt the flow of my reading, other than some sentences reading a bit weird, I can't exactly find a thing to complain about on this end.
Style is good. Would just say that sometimes game notifications in battle can just cause for a bit of taking away from the battles themselves, so that's something that needs to be worked around.
The story itself and the idea behind it are very good. I would say this can be the best aspect. The world, the card game and the classes are all very interesting, however the first chapters to move at a rather slow pace, and the first chapter itself might be a bit confusing to some.
All I can say about the main character is he's not my cup of tea. Except for that, his motivations and reasonings are very clear and consistent. Doesn't make me like him any more though. Building a connection with a character such as Tenner might be difficult for most (I think).

Tenshot by B. N. Miles is unlike anything I've read from this site before. The story starts out with with Tenner trying to scam his friend Jesse for money to feed his family via a card game, which makes me intrigued. I thought this was going to be a story about a card game, which would've been very amusing since I have no idea how anyone could pull the off. At the end of Chapter 1 though, the litRPG element is incorporated, and we start to see something more akin to the things we see on Royal Road.
There isn't too much characterization at the beginning chapters as the author is trying to expand the world and introduce us to the RPG elements, but they're very effective when they appear. A single paragraph tells me all I need to know about Tenner and pave way for the plot to move forward. The litRPG elements are handled well, and the action scenes are tastefully written. There's lots of potential for the story moving forward.
The grammar and presentation is still a bit messy at the moment, which might partly be because the author was pumping out chapters for the Writathon. With another round of edits and fleshing out ideas, I'm sure the story will shine as it should.

I was very confused at the introduction of the story all i understood was that there was a card game being played and i didnt get much beyond that. I kind of like the Mc other than him getting angered easily. The grammar is great, havent seen an issue with that. The plot though is very very fast paced, it seems as though its just one stream of things happening. overall, it isnt bad.

The story concept and world-building were very intriguing so far.  I like the setting and the litRPG parts are also flawless.
The character also has good potential, especially regarding the skill development possibilities - this could become something great.
The biggest plus here is the grammar, which is technically flawless - nice work!
There were some awkward sentences in every chapter, feeling like someone tried to translate a phrase from a different language literally into English, but it's not a showstopper.
What actually was left out a bit was the personality of the MC. He really is a bit shallow and I couldn't build up a connection to him.
But if that part is polished up a little, this could become a popular litRPG on RR!

I feel like I'm missing out on a really awesome story and character, but I'm having a hard time following whats happening and the MCs motivations. Things just seem to happen and the MC just reacts to them in what to me seems to be a confusing and sometimes nonsensical manner.
That being said said, some huge positives. Grammar and whatnot is very good! Technically it's easy to read.
I think if maybe it was a bit of a slower introduction before we get to the action with more of the MCs thought processes and development shown at the beginning I would really be enjoying this as it has moments of fun and creative writing that shows a well thought out world, system, and MC. He's too much of a non-character right now with no personality showing.
Please keep writing and I'll keep on reading and revisit my review!

    Overall: 4/5
I think that this story has one of the most unique and well thought out worlds on litrpg. You should read through it if you like cowboys, a post-apocalyptic sci-fi, characters whose lingos are unique to the world. Soda brands that are unique, a setting that feels alive - which is almost ironic since there's not a lot left of the setting that is alive. Grammar and flow which are almost technically flawless, making the whole story flow without a single issue.
The only things to be wary of are a few moments where you might have to double back to understand what is happening, and it might a good eight chapters before you really begin to see the full breath of the world offered.
    Style: 3/5
In my opinion, there are both pros and negatives to the way in which the author does the 'litrpg' notifications in this story. I think a big negative is whenever the character looks at their main stat screen since it's rather unwieldy. Other prompts not about that feel much better.
Most of the story is written in a choppy format that can be off-putting, This improves later in the story but is still present. Some of the weirder uses of this style can be found in moments where the character is thinking, where despite it being about 3 lines of thoughts, they're divided into three separate paragraphs with no other actions in between. This can be a little fatiguing to the reader.
POV sometimes undergoes a random shift that can be a little jarring when it first happens. And also speaking about POV, there are a couple of odd moments where it shifts from 3rd limited to 3rd omniscient which can be a little jarring.
While the combat reads well, after reading this far into the book, I think that the constant "Damage Notifications" kinda detracts from the urgency of situations and becomes a little fatiguing. Especially since I really don't have an idea how much max health the character has or likely wouldn't be able to track their current health unless I sat there with a calculator, s

While it had a stong begining the later chapters swtich view points a lot and seems to just leave stuff hanging. The leveling system is good idea. I enjoy the setting. but at some point i lost what was happening.I feel there is a lot of potential there ut maybe it was a bit rushed
