So far I really enjoy reading this book. The protagonist isnt the wisest and does not always know what the best or the right choice is but he is trying and it shows. I really like the concept of this book and can only recommend to read it for your selve to put my words into perspective.

So far all is good and well. We got our own typical protagonist pariah going into the rich school kids since he is way smarter than his peers.
And as the world dictates he isn't as smart as he think he is. He stands for what is right in the world tho.
And I can't help but cheer for him. Mc finds trouble and almost dies since he isn't saved by awakening his mystical heritage (that's a plus) to become the most op character and start his harem(so two pluses).
I mean he saved himself but not by awakening anyway. I will stick around to see how this goes and we will see.
Overall I recommend this one, carry in the good work.
Forgot this is 200 words long at the least....
    Grammar evaluation time then!
Author does a good work on the grammar and style, no weird shenanigans I can find, but my grammar isn't the best. I am not impeded while reading it so for me it is good.
    Style
Author does a fine work keeping a near writing style (wish I could do that) and it sets a good pace for this narrative.
    Story.
I think we already covered that above?
Story takes places on the classical earth gets connected to meta earth. With one is the original? Dunno.
The same but different. We have a standard problem shared by both and a way to solve it by giving power to girls that also give them way more power than they should have. But if it works, then it works I guess

'Origin: How I Became A Magical Girl's Hapless Sidekick In A Craptastic World' is a novel set in a world where magical girls fight against Aberrations, monsters that emerged from a rift in reality and brought destruction to Earth. The story follows Ikki, a First Year drifter who never cared much for the battles fought by the magical warriors until he finds himself in the middle of a disaster fighting for his life.
Overall score 5/5: This book is a unique and intriguing story that takes readers on a wild ride through a fantastical world full of magic and danger.
Style score 5/5: The writing is engaging and immersive, with vivid descriptions that bring the world and its characters to life. I love the author's use of humor and wit which lessens the dark tone to the story.
Story score 5/5: The story is a rollercoaster ride of action, and magic that will keep readers on the edge of their seat from beginning to end. The author has created a unique and fantastical world that is full of surprises.
Grammar score 5/5: The grammar is well-written, with clear and concise writing that flows smoothly without any obvious errors.
Character score 5/5: The characters are well-developed and multi-dimensional, each with their own unique personalities and quirks. Ikki, the protagonist, is relatable and likable. The supporting cast of characters is also well-crafted, each adding their own flair to the story.
All in all, Origin: How I Became A Magical Girl's Hapless Sidekick In A Craptastic World is a fantastic read with a unique storyline and well-crafted characters. I highly recommend anyone looking for an entertaining twist on Magical Girl stories! ♥

The beginning might be a bit disorganized and rushed, but trust me, it comes together and turns into something fantastic.
The author starts off with an exhilarating, fast-paced action sequence that instantly grabs your attention. Following that, the story transitions to a more relaxed slice-of-life segment.
Unfortunately, this part of the story was pretty disjointed, but the author was attempting to rush through it due to very vocal complaints and review bombing from people who were sucked in by the action, and subsequently surprised with a long ‘awkward teenager slice of life’ segment.
Regardless, it remains an enjoyable character-driven, school life narrative focused on magical girls. Unfortunately, if you hate tropes like bullying, assault, and completely broken authority/justice systems, this story probably isn’t for you. However, everything starts coming together right around chapter 35.
This story is packed with all kinds of cool anime tropes that ultimately tie together to the core ‘theme’ of magical girls. The author was a prolific fanfiction writer for Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Worm, and Type-MOON and it seems like they packed in all the powers and systems they loved from those franchises and discarded everything they didn’t.
At this point in the story, we have mechas, zombie hordes with (limited) infectious bites, cyborg supervillain Nazis, urban fantasy mages, far-reaching conspiracies that spread through multiple eras, and even light parallel world travel! It's as if the author decided to include everything they found batshit awesome in urban fantasy / sci-fi to pack into a magical girl story, and it absolutely works.
If you find any inconsistencies in the worldbuilding or power systems, just hang on until Chapter 33. Everything will start making sense, revealing that the author had it all planned out from the beginning. The story is very dark and loves to toy with your expectations.
I do have to stress this: Be prepared for some classic awkward teenage

Don't get me wrong, from the description and even the main cover, I went into it expecting similarities to the typical high school anime with superpower girls, and I wasn't disappointed.
The grammar is solid, I'd say way above average for the RR standard.
The story is action-packed with bits of school life mixing the pacing and making a good balance between action and character development.
For style, I understand the reasons, but I will say it nonetheless, I really dislike the first half of the opening prologue chapter. I can see this working in anime better than in words, but the bullying opening scene where I didn't know anything about the world or characters was off-putting.
Characters are reasonably fleshed out with most focus given to the MC which I liked, but I hope he keeps growing and does not remain the way he is for the other dozens of chapters. Only the bullies feel a little one-dimensional for now, but I hope that fixes itself later
Overall I'll give it 5* for good opening chapters, but it may change in the future depending on how the author handles the follow-up on this strong start, and builds a unique and interesting story.

This story hits a lot of notes for me. Loving the Gritty magical girl upswing on this site. PLUS I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED SIDEKICK STORIES. They're honestly the best. Some of the dealings in school lose that same tense air in the writing and vagueness, why I shaved off half a point. But it's so good otherwise! Dialogue has been decent, action was good, descriptions are great, and I'm already feeling these characters. I look forward to more!

Style: The author has a very fast paced writing style, keeping you reading from one chapter to the next. It feels as though there is always something happening, and that there is even more going on than we are seeing.
Grammar: I have no complaints. I see in the comments were people have small edits, and the author makes these edits quickly and shows gratitude to those giving the edits.
Story: This is a very interesting take on the magical girl story. Often magical girl stories are viewed as happy, hopeful and bubbly with emphasis on friendship and romance. I say most because there are stories like Puella Magi Madoka Magica were it is more of a gritty reality. This story is closer to Puella Magi Madoka Magica as it has more of a realistic feel to it. We begin in a high school with the main character being bullied in a scene that was very realistic. We then begin getting glimpses that this world isn't so normal. It begins with eye color, talks of portals then comes the zombies, dragons and bloody battles where people don't come out uninjured.
Character: The only reason this is on the lower side is because the action takes the reigns. Which is not a bad thing. Momentum is very enjoyable, but it does keep me from getting to know the characters. From what I have seen of them though, they are interesting and I believe will end up being fully rounded and relatable characters.
Overall: If you are looking for a fast paced, action filled adventure with magical girls seen through the lense of a non-magical girl then this is a story you should 100% read. It keeps you guessing at what new event we are going to be witnessing with each chapter. It builds tension and keeps you in the thick of it.

The synopsis has a lot of the information you need going into this. Our MC is an average guy trying to make ends meet. He is a student at the local school in his fantasyland city. Instead of being his own protagonist, he will instead be the sidekick of an actual hero. I'll start off with a few opinions I have formed after the initial readthrough.
    1. The MC is probably the lead entertaining part of this story. This is a casualty on the genre I am afraid. It's just not very fun to read about a normal person in a super world who is actually normal and doesn't have anything going for them. He needs to be a super genius, chaos mutant, or something else because this current depiction is not very interesting.
    2. The initial ten chapters were very entertaining when it came to the action. The female main was probably the one leading this story for most scenes. If the author wanted the story to feel like she is the actual MC then I applaud the author for this.
Style score 5/5. The style was smoothe for me and I never needed to stop to reread anything.
Grammar score 4.5/5. I had to deduct a half star. There are some sections that do more telling than showing, and a couple places where I spotted spelling errors.
Story score 4.5/5. The plot is fairly straightforward for the Magic girl genre. Monsters are attacking the city and magic girls are the only ones around to save the day. Everyone else is useless. This story changes the pace by focusing on a "normie" instead of a magic girl. I find this both ambitious and dangerous, a double edged blade. The author will need to balance the story around having a useless MC without making it boring. So far, he shows no signs of having comic book genius or mutant chaos powers if those are even a thing in verse. I'm trying to figure out what kind of story this is. Is it a comedy, a tragedy, or a slice of life revolving around school life? The last one seems the most prominent, but at the same time all the gore and other elements really detra

Okay, so I think I know why this has been getting some low ratings. The title makes it sound like a light-hearted satire with the MC playing the straight man in a world filled with absurdity and wacky hijinks. But the story is actually serious and kinda dark.
It's a good story, but people will always be confused when the tone of a story is not what they expect.
