Target 75 (System Orphans: Claire, Book 2)

Description
This is now a STUB - the series is on Amazon and Audible. Find it here: https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B0BTRTMXCQ
Claire will avenge the other orphans, even if it means losing herself to do it.
Ten years ago, the System appeared and killed billions. System Orphans will be a series of stories about the orphans that were left behind.
This is the first of many 'System Orphan' stories I'd like to write. The first few books will follow a girl named Claire, who has a quest to kill one hundred people who made her life a living hell when she was orphaned by the System.
Thank you to anyone who checks it out :).
Disclaimer: This story deals with some heavier topics than my previous story and also has a lot more swearing.

- Bluelightning42Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a simple enough review. Revenge/vigilante assassin in system apocalypse. It's exactly what it says on the tin and entertaining enough I'd recommend it to anyone.
Style is dynamic. There are well coriographed/written fight scenes and the prose is simple and easy to follow.
Grammar is pretty much flawless. No spelling mistakes. Nothing that distracts from the reading experience.
The Story is hard to expand upon past the synopsis without spoilers. It's a revenge flic with well written fight scenes. I realize I've mentioned that twice and that's because I really think it's one of this stories strongest points. Theres realistic human interactions. A [system] that's not overbearing for those who dislike constant notifications. What more could you ask for?
The side Characters seem like real people and the main character has a intresting struggle. Her voice is strong and her desires easy to root for. Less of a character trait but her build is fun. There are plenty of assassin adjacent litrpgs but they always have the mc spec into half a different side paths. This is the first time I've seen the archtype committed to.
My final score is the overall/enjoyment score. Personally this sucked me in and I'm excited to read more. For that it's a 5/5 from me. - Mr wongRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is written from the perspective of a young lady who lives in a modern rpg world controlled by the "system". The "system" alludes to something very powerful and somewhat involved in the storyline through stats and quests. So far in the story not much more is invested in the system storyline development . There is a decent character development of the protagonist with a progressively revealed backstory. She is orphaned and has gone through some traumatic experiences to get to where she is but still has a hesitation to fully give into the heartless life of a system run character. The life of the protagonist shifts from her relationship with adoptive mom, the modern world and the dungeon world- keeping the readers interest and attention. As the story progresses more plot is introduced and more characters become involved- great potential for more detail and progression as the author fleshes out the story. A good framework that I look forward to the author to fill in! Sounds like there will be more stories or books to come.
well I think that about wraps up this review for now and just need a few more words to finish my advanced review. Hope the best for the novels progress! - NelineRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5A story about revenge (ordered by the system but also wanted by the mc).
We begin after over 40 of the 100 targets the mc needs to kill are already dead which guarantees a fast paced start.
MC has quite a few skills and already has quite a bit of experience.
Overall it is nicely written but many things are just skimmed over.
The need to constantly clear dungeons is more of a crutch at this point.
Anyway it is a decent story with some flaws but overall a decent read. - grovekeeperRoyal Road★★ 2.0In a story where a child gets shoes from her father, child waits for the father and the child knowing that the father is coming home, the child replies to the police when asked that she and her mother are the only ones in the house. Considering that the orphan part is a main theme, such obvious plot holes are a big bane for the story.
The plot armour is sickening. Everytime the MC gets seriously hurt, she is rescued and given adequate treatment. There is a lady who cares for the MC, provides for her and does not ask any questions. She is a party member who also finds teammates for the party. And gives her a place to stay. The motivations of the said character hasn't even been touched upon.
There are typos and other grammar mistakes here and there. The writing is smooth though. Story and character wise, wouldn't recommend.
