Description

Tangerine Stone is an S tier trouble magnet with a hate for Tuesdays. Follow along as she joins a magic academy, makes friends with a brain slug, tries to understand her place in this new world, and hopefully flirts with some pretty girls. What to expect: GL, Tangerine is a big old disaster lesbian. All of the horny and no where to put it. No Harem or poly, Tangerine is a bit of a flirt, but if or when she settles down she is a *slightly* possessive one woman type of girl. This isn't really a Litrpg, but it gets kinda close, no stats but lots of collecting magic items. Tropes, yes! Its a portal adventure where Tangerineis forceable conscriptedjoins a magic academy, deal with almost Otome situations in a world that is discount MtG! How MtG? I'm being inspired by the cards but not the lore. There's no Jace hanging about here. I'm also shamelessly bringing in a lot of inspiration from other stuff I like! Super slow burn / slice of life. Each update is just another day, I picked this format because I have no plan, I am writing to discover what happens. There will be some action and adventure hopefully some angst and drama too! Think Buffy the Vampire Slayer for tone. Weak to strong, kinda. More like unprepared to prepared. Single character first person focus, 99% of chapters will be from the perspective of Tangerine. I'm not going to say I will never do a different point of view, but it will be rare. No ai has touched this work, you can tell because of all the mistakes! Book one Complete!

It's funny, lesbians be doing lesbian things, tan get your act together, ect. Not the best grammar/spelling, and not enough dragons, but still very very good.Personally, I really like this story, it's a nice depiction of MTG mechanics and how they would work in universe, and it manages to be very funny.Oh also, needs a blue player, who just spams counterspell/j

The MC is such a chaotic messy lesbian!!! I love her!!! Bless her heart.I am really enjoying the story andCANNOTwait for more chapters. It's refreshing to see a transmigration story with such nuance about the whole process of moving from one plane to another, the grief and happiness it may carry. Stories often just brush it off.I also really love the side characters!! They're so wholesome and interesting! And the hive mind, Gestalt: they are SO damn cool. I fucking love them. And Maria. She's great too. Mommy? Sorry, Mommy? (lol)This story already made me cry a couple of times and laugh a few dozen too. Of course, I'm already following and expecting to see more chapters!Ty, author, for bringing some good rep to this place (and making it so funny and relatable at the same time)!

Overall: This story is amazing! It focuses a lot on how the Main character develops as a person and in her relationships but also has a lot of comedic moments. The relationship between the main character Tangerine and her best friend/resident brain slug Gestalt brings a lot of levity to the story while also helping some of the character development along.Story: The story follows Tangerine, a surprisingly clever disaster lesbian, as she is taken from the world that she knows, given a brain slug, and thrown into a world with lots of attractive women and magic.Characters: The story mostly sticks to a small core of main characters that are each well developed and fit their own niche and then a wider spread of Sub characters that, so far, have just suplimented the development of the main characters but will likely come into their own as time goes by.Grammar: There are very minor spelling or grammatical mistakes that sometimes appear. The Author is very active and often quickly fixes things that people point out. None of the mistakes that I have found have detracted from the story in a major way.Additional notes: Like previously mentioned, the Author is super active and responds to almost every single comment, which I think adds to the experience of reading the story.

I do not believe that the title of 'disaster lesbian' fully conveys the depth of Tangerine's unrelenting lesbianism. She has moved past that moniker into the never-before-seen title of cataclysmic lesbian.Generally I think this story is quite interesting, the worldbuilding is pretty intriguing and I'm curious to see how this story develops. The other characters in the story feel pretty fleshed out, while we haven't gotten to know much about every single character yet I do appreciate that we've seen depth in the side characters that we've spent the most time with so far. The comedy is fun and enjoyableβ€”I like the story so far, I'd recommend checking it out :)

This is a story about a brain slug living inside the mind of a cataclysmic lesbian. So far we only had chapters from the POV of some side characters though. Can't wait to see Gestalt's thoughts! Otherwise, it's a pretty good character focused yuri romcom. Our MC hasn't gotten any action yet though. That's the only thing I dislike, gimme some hive mind tentacle romance!

The one thing this story needs is a line editor. The story is great, the characters are fun (if sometimes a bit shallow; Bronson, I'm looking at you) and the setting is amazing; however, the grammar and prose is pretty lacking, and does impact my enjoyment notably.Despite my issues with the prose (and the fact that the whole story uses Justified, for some reason, which makes the spacing between words vary immensely and honestly ticks me the fuck off), I can say with certainty that Tangerine Stone as a narrator has one of the strongest voices I've seen in a long while, on the same level as Tabitha from Diary of a Teenage Mimic. Her force of personality is so strong that it almost completely negates the issues I've had with the prose. Genuinely, this series is worth your time, especially if you like hopeless lesbians (and Tangerine is only surpassed in this regard by Atzi, who is the namesake of her own series on RR). This series isn't perfect by any means, but its strengths are so, so strong that it's skyrocketed to one of my favorite series on the site, next to stories that have almost infinitely more polish likeMy Name Is Beautiful, Magical Girl Mechanical Heart, andPale Lights, and I think it could genuinely stand up with some of the best with even a moderate amount of polish/editing. Gunboat Diplomat, you've got something special here. Keep at it.
