Tallow's Saga

Magician duels are a dance, a collaboration. Tallow Rend is a professional magician - born with just enough mana to go to the academy, but not enough to overwhelm his peers with strength alone. Tallow's lone advantage were his eyes, he could see the mana that other magicians used to cast spells, he could see the mana in the air. He could see when the mana was changing, what element magicians were channeling and how they were shaping those elements.

He was always one step ahead until the day he encountered a spell so fast that no one could have reacted to it.
