Tales of the Implock - A LitRPG Monster Evolution Story
Community Rating
Description
Nyx - A demon, weak and small, too fleeting of a creature to survive the infernal wastes in which he was born - but after multiple brushes with death, the otherwise inconsequential demon experiences a destiny-changing encounter with an unknown and eccentric god, foreign to this world. Cast from the domains of old and conspiring gods to a land of which is sheltered from the divine, beyond the reach of whence they scheme, the impling who soon would come to be known far and wide as Nyx will find a new purpose.
Born of Pride, with the fires of ambition fanned and burning deep within, Nyx will grow, learn, and evolve. From a weak and pathetic impling, to that of a mighty arch demon of untold demonic power, nothing would stand in the way of his ascent.
Yet, the yearn of power might not be the only thing the power-manic demon will come to desire as he will encounter others who might just matter as much to him as the ecstasy of power does.
[Info]This story features a wide breadth of characters with unconventional views, morals, and actions. There is no black and white - there is only grey. In a world where strength rules, notions of good and evil blur. The protagonist of this story is not a hero. He is not human. He is a megalomaniac demon trying to find his place in the world of which he has been discarded.
This novel is my first crack at making something serious, a piece of work I can be proud of. It is a part of a bigger universe that I am creating, The Aethos, and I fully intend for this story to be professionally edited, then self-published on Amazon. The novel will continue on for a long adventure, as each arc will be made into a proper book. Therefore I heavily encourage feedback and interaction. Anything to improve my story and my writing is greatly appreciated.
Thank you, and welcome to the Aethos.

- lpyle1Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0To be honest I started reading this book after I found out the author stopped writing his past novel.
The writing in this novel is drastically better, and flows like a true story. The Grammar is great, I haven't noticed a problem in 16 chapters I have read. The story flows very well, and you can notice the beginning of world building, and potential routes this story can take. The flow of conversations are great, and the imagery is on point. I can't wait to see how the future of this novel unfolds.
Definitely encourage people to give it a look, and see if they like it! - CristianBoyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Fun . The imp feels like a megalomaniac monster who doesnt have morals(which he shouldn't). A lot going on in the background so we knows this story is actually planned not made on the go. Characters seem like they have a brain so far, hope it remains the same. World building is the normal demonic plane with 7 sins and other gods.
- Eduardo GallindoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Demons, Brawlers, elves, It has It all!
I don't know what I was expecting when I picked this novel, but It far exceeded my expectations!
Been having a lot of fun with our MC and his grimm adventures. The world building is nice too, giving us some well built characters with not so funny stories (cries in impish blubbering).
This story has both funny and sad parts and It's been a real good read for me!
5/5 recomend it! - James GhoulRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0What an awesome tale.
It is epic in scope, which I adore because the world building ends up rich. At its core it is a well executed monster evolution. I loved the imp, loved the use of characters to show the progression of our charming MC, and loved the evolutions. Konge possesses the cunning of a true and seasoned storyteller. This has got to be one of my favorite RR stories which had been on my tbr for far too long. I hope to one day read more. The last available chapter had me hook, line, and sinker. Get it? See what I did there? Ah, you’ll see what I mean, because the story will reel you in page after page. Thank you for the wonderful adventure, Konge. - Alucard123Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0From the very first chapter, Implock grips you with its lyrical prose and masterful storytelling. This is not just a novel it’s an experience. The author crafts a world so vivid and emotionally resonant, it feels like stepping into a dream.
If you're craving a LitRPG that goes beyond grinding and stats one where the protagonist is a scheming demon pushing boundaries and redefining power Tales of the Implock is a compelling binge. Konge’s blend of evolution mechanics, high-stakes moral tension, and raw ambition make it a standout in the genre. Dive in if you’re ready for something unapologetically dark, strategic, and evolution-driven.
The contrast between the Enlightened (class-based humanoids) and chaotic monster-based evolution adds depth and intrigue.
In this gray-lattened fantasy, there are no pure heroes only conflicting ideals, power struggles, and hard choices
There is some room for improvement however.
1. Polish and editing: As a serial on Royal Road, some early chapters could benefit from tighter editing and pacing refinement.
2. Greater payoff: With the story still unfolding and hinting at wider arcs, some might want more closure before fully investing.
I just hope the author continues writing this one as it has a ton of potential as a monster evo LitRPG. - darkwolf*1Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5It's just a really enjoyable read, a character who treats lives the way he does while still not feeling like some forced villain is a breath of fresh air. The progression is nice and fun although I wish there were more choices at alter levels to lend themselvs to variety. My main worry is the side plot of deities actions which I think takes away from the story. Also I really enjoy your willingness to kill characters even pov ones. Looking forward.
- LudicerRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I saw this story in the "Rising Stars" and thought I'd give it a shot. I was not displeased. First of all, I'm not a good reviewer. I like reading books and have a hard time giving positive or negative feedback since it's quite individual.
This is a story of a red prideful impling, the most intelligent one of them all(according to himself).
The writing is good, I can't remember seeing any mistakes.
The story flows naturally, it was easy to follow the change of perspective.
1-2 Side characters felt abit flat.
It might be abit hard to do a prover review since it's quite early in the book. But I will not be surprised if it becomes one of the top books on RR. Give it a shot. - HollowShadonRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I loved this story and I read it 2 years ago. I have been waiting all this time for more but I have finally decided that I will not see any more of this wonderful story, no matter what happens. Thank you for the experience. good reading, interesting characters and an interesting world that caught me.
- Chaos JesterRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This story starts off great, and introduces the world and key characters effectively. The premise is intriguing and the author takes you through the imp's development in an entertaining way.
Where it's going is open ended, but it is well written, paced great, and detailed better without burying you in its lore. - ParadoxcloudRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Implock is a story about an imp becoming a warlock in a world other than his own, at least that is the extent of it for now.
I don't have much bad to say about it, grammar, spelling, and sentence structure were all fine. The litrpg elements are not overbearing as is often the case for the genre, and the plot seems to be moving at a nice cruising pace.
The only reservations that I have with the story right now is that the author is making this story in the context of a wider world, this is in and of itself not unusual, but it's very easy to mess up. Once you start working with gods and the like for example story quality seems to always veer off, at least that's been my general experience.
For the rest, it's all okay, I like monster stories and this one seems to be doing it right so I hope that it continues on doing what it does.
