Tales of Terai: The Girl from Creekside

My name is Linizio Nymeus, champion of the goddess Ter'ai and heroine of the continent which bears her name, Terai. At the beginning, though, I was no one special. Just an average farmer in the remote village of Creekside. On the night of my eighteenth birthday, everything changed when a horde of monsters attacked my home village, and I found myself spurred to action to rescue a defenseless old lady. Little did I know that this would be the inciting action that signaled that now was the time for my awakening as the Champion of the Goddess, a chosen hero once in every century who will lead the continent from darkness. I was in over my head, and I knew that when this whole thing started, but this was a path I chose for myself-- being a heroine was my childhood dream, and I would see it realized even if it kills me.
