The best isekai stories utilize the genre's tropes to their fullest potential. How does the world building of the story's fantasy world contrast with the original world of the protagonist? How is the protagonist changed, initially and gradually, by their new world? Such questions revolve around inevitable tropes of the genre, and the ways an author addresses them can make or break their story.
Auteur addresses the latter question with the protagonist's transformation into a cat, a familiar creature but one he hasn't lived as and must learn to embody, and the additional RPG progression on top of this. The pro-cat-gonist (sorry) is challenged with learning to control his new form while also navigating a system of stat-based progression. It's a novel predicament with much room for the protagonist's growth as well as a fun perspective to frame the plot around.
The former question is answered chapter by chapter through Auteur's world building, which, while filtered through the lens of a cat who struggles to understand the humans that surround him and their society, is unique, and offers something of a vast and intricate cat tree for the protagonist to explore.
The style is distinctive without being exhaustingly flashy. Grammatically, I noticed no issues that took me out of the narrative or irritated my writer's eyes. Story and character are working in tandem toward a deepening world. So--read and support this story! I'm excited to see where Auteur lures this cat.

This story is amazing omg. I really loved the tidbits of commentary from the main character, I was laughing so hard. The RPG elements are so unique. I've never read a story like this before, but I'm definitely going to continue reading this one. This is definitely worth the read! Keep up the amazing work.
