The Trials had finally arrived.
Deep in the mountains, a sequestered sect of warriors, known as the Jeurlin monks, lie hidden on the snow-capped Mount Kumu. Mahi, a Jeurlin student, after being torn from his family, faces the Trials that will earn him his Krane: the mark of a fully fledged Jeurlin monk. The Trials are perilous, pushing the body, the mind and the soul to their worldly limits.
