Sweet Vexation

Valerie Williams was a very successful private investigator in a gang infested city, atop the peak of her career which came abruptly to an end when she and three others were killed in a car crash. The others involved in the crash were Terence Valenti and his wife, Katherine, previous leaders of the Valenti gang, as well Lance Valenti, their eldest son. Upon the deaths of all immediate leaders of the Valenti family, their son, Syrian, assumed the role of gang leader. With their family gone, Syrian feels pressure to lead his little brother, Jared, in their family traditions, but Jared simply wants out of the life of crime and is adamant about attending UNI. While attending UNI, Jared meets Zoe, who has a past full of secrets, though she feels like a long lost connection somehow. Jared and Zoe begin working together to uncover the secrets of what really happened the night their parents died. As they get deeper into the investigation, things start getting dangerous for Zoe, as she has been in Syrian’s line of sight ever since he saw her with a photo of his brothers. Will Jared be able to protect Zoe from his obsessive brother? Was there really more to the story, or was it a cover up? Will Zoe and Jared be able to clear the Valenti name and reveal the truth?
