I like stories where the protagonist is a criminal.  Usually on RR the protagonist has some kind of superpower.
Supplying Supers is not one of those stories.  The protagonist Gunner Webb has no powers at all.  Or so it seems anyway.
Gunner Webb is a fixer, a Mr. Johnson if you have any experience with Shadowrun.  He supplies things and makes things happen.  He's rich, very well connected, and he possesses the loyalty of his superpowered followers.
He is also an expert in the Gale, a supernatural something that hasn't been explained yet but is supposed to be the reason why people have superpowers.  This is surprising because according to his very redacted file, Gunner Webb has no formal education.  I'm guessing he's a former street rat or maybe a former slave or captive of the Gale.
Anyway the story is very fun to read.

Who do you call when you need something?  Anything?  And I really do mean anything, even if it's illegal or should be impossible?  You call Gunner Webb, the protagonist of this engaging and addictive story about a fixer in a world of superheroes, supervillains, and everything in between.
Style: This story reads like a professional novel.  The prose has great flow, keeping the story moving.  Once I started I soon found myself addicted, hitting the next chapter button late into the night until I eventually found I had sadly reached the end.  The pacing leads smoothly from one event to the next, constantly expanding the character's relationships (more on that later), the worldbuilding, and the plot.
Story: Though it is early in the story, I love the way things are unfolding so far.  There are a couple of plot threads that are being weaved together in a seamless way.  Our protagonist, Gunner Webb, operates outside of the law, but with his own moral code (in the first chapter, we see a very clear example of one of his limits).  He also goes to great lengths to help out his employees and be fair to his associates.
The synopsis explains the main plot of the story, so I won't reiterate it here.  But this story also does a great job of slowly weaving in a number of different side plots, as we see some of the other types of jobs Gunner performs in his day-to-day life, including one side plot involving an orca (no, seriously!) which is the one I am currently most invested in.  Free Millie!
The worldbuilding is also excellent.  It doesn't feel like the world revolves around the main character.  Instead, we are gradually introduced to a complex, dynamic world of superheroes and supervillains, that slowly expands as the story continues.  Intriguing mysteries (of the Gale, for example) are hinted at which keep us wanting to learn more.  There is a slow-burn aspect to this story that adds to its addictive quality.
Grammar: The work is cleanly edited, no problems here that I saw.

The world of Gunner, is one where the supernatural world is not far away.
In a manner of speaking, it's leaking into the "natural" world, causing people to have powers and magic to be a possibility too.
Our protagonist seems to have been drenched in the magical potential in similar manner to how Achilles was dipped into a magic pool to make him invulnerable as a baby.
    Gunner however, is not invulnerable...
In the regular world, he is known to be able to procure anything, for a price.
His clients range from heroes, to villains and everything inbetween.
On the secret government list, he's known as one of the foremost experts on the supernatural, even if some of the people in charge happen to be suspicious of him.
I find the characters to be believable and the plots so far seem realistic and well incorporated with the concepts of magic, super-powers and a realm beyond the regular earth.
If anything, i'd think of the stories as more of a "darker Marvel universe" rather than "DCU"

In 'Supplying Supers,' Gunner Webb, a fixer for a clientele of supers, politicians, and celebrities, finds himself entangled in a web of death and secrets. As he investigates ritualistic murders tied to his past, he must assemble a team of femme fatales and occultists to uncover the truth.
Overall Score 5/5: This is an exceptional and enthralling story that grabs your attention from the very first page. The thrilling plot, well-crafted characters, and immersive world-building make it a remarkable reading experience.
Style Score 5/5: The writing style is polished and fast-paced, keeping the story flowing smoothly while effortlessly describing the vivid action scenes and nuanced emotions of the characters.
Story Score 5/5: Gunner Web's dealings in the illegal arms trade and his involvement in the mysterious murders of registered supers create a suspenseful and thrilling narrative that most of us enjoy in more gritty superhero comics.
Grammar Score 5/5: The grammar is impeccable without any obvious errors.
Character Score 5/5: The characters are multi-dimensional and well-developed, making them relatable and captivating. Gunner Web's complex personality, his unbreakable bond with Flux, and his intriguing encounters with other characters like Justice and Tetro add depth to the story.
In conclusion, 'Supplying Supers' is a top-notch superhero tale that exceeds expectations in every category. The thrilling plot, superb writing style, well-crafted characters, and impeccable grammar make it an outstanding read. I highly recommend it for lovers of more grim and realistic superhero worlds! ♥

Quite a different story to what I am used to reading.
A societally established main character with a taste for finery and a purposeful manner of speech make for a wildly different portrayal of power over others.
I am very interested to see where this goes, especially with the other so-far teased characters.

Pretty good so far. I have read several other books with similar plots and this one is quite well done. The main character seems interesting, and the current potential members of his harem are quite unique. I don’t think I have seen a slime girl like this before. The story is still in its early stages but I look forward to seeing where the author goes from here.

So far this is gold. Solid work.
The characters are good well written and alive.
The story, the pacing, and pitch are perfect. At least for me as a reader.
I have my concerns for the future. Nobody. and I mean Bloody nobody could pull a harem story that people would read and not dump it in to trash can like a cheap whore after reading. There are very few exeptions.
And this story may head in that "harem direction"
No, I mean it guys. This is gold. Dig in.

Very solid take on the superhero harem gentre.
The characters are fleshed out and this first arc does a great job of maintaining pace and interest.
Even the flashbacks do not feel as a break in the action.
The protagonist is believable and the understated power angle really works.
Supporting characters do not feel single use and the alternative history of civilization is not too far out.
Exited about the hidden villain and looking forward to reading the story as it unfolds.
    Keep it up AJ.

    How to discripe this story?
Superheros, alot less supervillains than I was expecting....
The focus is more magical... suprisingly.
I am tempted to write that this is a more realistic Superhero story.... (with a guy in the middle, trying to be allknowing as possible, pulling as many strings as he can)
Superheros arn't the paragons of virtue, but they never reach the deps of The Boys. The ones I saw are people... Some are assholes, but all are people.
I enjoid the Story. If you like Superheros, light accult and the grey man in the middle, this might be the story for you.

I managed to read the entire story while it was posted here on Royal Road, where it no longer resides.
Supplying Supers was a superhero story with an interesting twist on super powers.  Rather than being from 'here', super powers are caused by a link to an alternate dimensional world that isn't really supposed to BE linked to our reality.  For this origin story, the main character of Gunner is introduced, being sort of a spider in a web for a large metropolitan city.  He can find most anything, or do most anything someone might need, for a price - and he's not really that concerned about for whom.  His concern is for the city itself to keep functioning.  Unfortunately, there are others who aren't concerned about the world functioning, let alone the city, and that's something he's very much against.
In general, the grammar was quite good, the characters were interesting, with those under scrutiny not being excessive caricatures.  That's not to say that there aren't stereotype characters - it is a superhero/villain story, after all - it's just that most of those are kept off-scene.  Those he focused on are definite individuals, with well fleshed out attitudes.
As for why I can't really recommend it?   It's gone.   Anyone who wants to read the forthcoming second book will have to either go to Amazon and hand over money, or hope that the second book will be fully standalone, not needing details from this book.   I cannot give a recommendation for the Amazon book because I have not read it, and cannot attest to how closely it is to the originally posted story.
This is the personal choice of the author, period.    I will suggest that anyone that wishes to read the second book on Royal Road should make sure to keep up with the story, as there wasn't much time between the first story ending and being removed (I won't call it a stub, as it's one chapter).    If you like to sit down once a month and binge read stories, this may not be the best author to follow.   If you hit t
