The story goes on an alternative history of earth after WW2, where people with super powers started to appear. The main character was an ordinary young man with no powers (as of now), trying to survive in a world dominated by superpowers.
The author was very good at character development and exposition. It is done so seamlessly and pleasant to eyes.
World building was very realistic, with almost no info dumps. I'm looking forward how it is going to develop.
Pacing is fast, but not too fast.
Localized to American society and values. Probably intentionaly done. I like it. - Ikhmal HakimRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Just take my star.
Well, what can i say, i love the story. The character feel fresh to me, everyone is living, mc not typical mc (idiot beta male), the side characters not always on mc side.
I just hope maybe after this mc will become real artificer where he combined mech with human flesh, created new limb or body like half cyborg but working cyborg. I mean you cant blame me, his name is literally mechromancer. Where author get from Necromancer (get it?) - Can'tBeSeenRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5As of Chapter 14, this is easily one of the better superpowered stories on RRL. I agree that it does remind me a little of D-List Supervillain, but there are more than enough differences for it to stand on it's own. There's good action and excellent world-building. I look forward to reading more.
- Jack BlankRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Really like Erich's view on life and how Olivia and Sarah are his dualistic foils. Like a mirror of morality and ambitious vs his cold utilitarianism and pragmatism. Fuck, this is a damn good story.
- Abby RoadsRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This story was a fantastic read, the end of the second book was just so good, the main character plays it safe and smart, his decisions make sense from a logical standpoint and it's awesome to see his progress from a repairman to a villain, and the many small choices that lead to large change, like the butterfly effect.
The story is 5/5 awesome read
The grammar had quite a few problems, nothing too bad, just gives you a doubletake every once in a while when you see a sentence that doesn't make much sense, but as long as you've got a good understanding of English it's not much of a problem to correct in your head, 3.5/5.
The fact it's on hiatus is also really saddening because I want more. - drizzRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This is good stuff.
The plot moves along steadily and is rather unique, and while worldbuilding is kept to a couple of sentences now and then, it's enough to lend it some color. I say steadily because the pace is rather consistent, but I certainly wouldn't mind if it slowed down a bit -- ergo if the narrative and narrated times got closer to each other.
Characters are memorable and distinct, and the the protagonist's choices are reasonable and fitting (which is a pleasant change from many others). I must say that many of them feel a tad over the top, but these cartoonish and overdrawn personalities lend this story its own little charm.
The grammar and spelling are both more than decent. While I did spot the occasional typo or, in rarer cases, grammatical error, those were nowhere near frequent enough to become jarring, which is a major step up from 90% of the novels on here.
All in all a good read. - KapRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Amazing story and enjoyable characters. Great job of forcing a guy into the life without making the story feel forced. Only real downside is the very clear lack of proofreading before updates. Nothing unreadable just the last bit of rough draft needing polish.
- BullerRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Smart guy who isnt a genius making a suit that he can use to do crime and stuff. That pretty much just sums it all up for me. Sure, he makes other stuff than that and meets some people who you can think of as being rather interesting, but I don't really think this story needs that much more than this.
The way the story is written is nice enough. No real problems found. There might be some sarcasm somewhere though. You can never truly know.
4.5/5. Almost perfect - mano77Royal Road★★★★ 4.0An addictive story, quick, twisty plot development keeps you locked for the next chapter. I like the characters, most have a balanced real persona. Numerous spelling errors, but not enuf to get in the way of the story. At CH 30, some sub, side plots developing... interesting! CH 56 ... hiatus 4 months?
