principalmente me encanta como lleva el romace en la novela aparte de eso la historia esta bien hecha y muy entretenida, incluso aunque ya haya pasado lo canon
practicamente esta continuando con la historia original con un nuevo personaje

This is one of the better fanfics I read, it's got one glaring problem but everything else is just fantastic.
The execution is great, the characters are all pretty much true to the originals the whole time (always in-character), lots of tense moments, action and a bit of drama.
There's very little not to like here, but there is one major issue.
The protagonist is a bitch when it comes to interacting with girls. In everything else he's an exemplary hard boiled survivalist but when he's interacting with the girls he likes it's like his balls go on vacation and the best he can do is act real awkward. Somehow in an unbelievable wish fulfilment way he still gets girls falling for him, and I can see why with how he behaves for most of the story, but when it comes to actually acting on his feelings which he knows full well are returned, it just does not compute. It's as if he's physically incapable of it.
There's also the weird fact that one of the girls he likes is Saya, which is just strange because her personality is garbage and he keeps mentioning it, it's like he hates her guts, yet likes her at the same time, it's weird and doesn't make sense.
Besides this though, it's a wonderful zombie survival self insert fic. Literally can't find anything else to complain about.
PS: I actually read to chapter 69, more chapters were available on another site.

honestly after reading other fanfics of the same series i really wasnt expecting anything but oooooohhh boooi i was WRONG! i unequivocally can say that this fan fic is one of the best fanfics i have EVER read.
first im not really a fan of the series, but i watched the anime a few years ago and i really liked it! the author does a really good work by staying true to the series, and goes beyond that.
no character feels plane or two dimensional, im not saying that every character has depth but every conversation and every situtation that happens feels very real! i personally enjoyed the banter between the characters in the airport arc, i wonder if the author was in the army and took inspiration on that.
the story doesn't only feels realistic just because the characters! its also because while some characters motivations or actions passed unnoticed in the anime the author does a really good work on how the personality of said characters would work in a real life setting or how they would affect the other characters, rei being a self centered cookie for example coff coff.
now not everything is perfect, there were parts that i personally had trouble visualizing what the author was trying to say or the situation the he was trying to convey, for example the bridge part with the rope i really got lost there.
grammar wise not sure since im not a native english speaker but the author does put a lot of references or words that specifically belong to a north american culture, whatchamacallit? ah idiosyncrasy, hehe you get it? whatchamacallit is actually one of those words. but i find myself that those little things are what make the story so good, because those little things are what gives life to these characters, then again some people would not get it and would get or would get it but would not like it, you can please everyone but ehhhh F them! the story is good as it is and hopefully the author will not change that.

As someone whos read a lot of fanfiction in his time, I can tell you that this one is already in the top 0,1%. It stays true to the feel of hotd and is enjoyable to read. It isn't perfect, which is a stupid thing to hope for because nothing ever is, but the issues that pop up, up to chapter 40, are very minor, minor enough to be negligible.

The MC doesn't have any cheats except being very fit physically and future Knowledge. Its extremely realistic on what a person could do to prepare. It does start out very slow and the mc thinks to himself a lot (since he's not that good at socializing), but its still very good. Even the MC feeling awkward when interacting is very natural as well. The way the characters develop, how they feel or think, its all very well thought out. Can't really believe not many people read this. Its one of the best fics I've read. I can't wait to see what happens next. You can literally just imagine that although you might do some things differently, You'd still go with the general flow the mc has gone with. Also, all the butterfly effects make sense. (there aren't that many though).
Furthermore, contrart to what the author wrote, there aren't any noticable grammatical errors.
How is this still not 200 words long? lol

It baffles me that no one has reviewed this story yet. It's really really good.
Story:
It was genius to start the story two days before canon. I love how all interactions the MC partakes in are tainted by the looming dread of what is to come. You did an excellent job of establishing what the MC can and cannot do and in what kind of relation he stands to the relevant characters and the world.
Even when canon starts and your MC truges along the laid out path you go out of your way to show the relationships between the characters from a new perspective and make a conscious effort to deviate from what was shown on screen through side-missions and being at a different place then Takeshi.
Style and Grammar:
For saying that you are dyslexic, this is still a mostly error free script. Certainly nothing that impacted my reading-flow or -enjoyment.
Character:
Saya, Saeko and Kohta (or Kouta) are pretty much spot on and you explore their characters well enough to make any deviations from their canon behaviour believable. They are all very charming.
Rei and Takashi and Shizuka are kind of dropped under the table a bit on the one hand. But on the other hand it takes a good author to know when to prioritize some characters over others and the interactions with the rest are much more focused for it. Still, I hope at some point Rei, Shizuka and Takashi all get some more interaction at least to the degree that the dynamic between them and the MC is firmly established.
The side-characters and antagonists display the same phenomenon (I don't want to say problem because it isn't). The ones that are focused on (like Shidô, Zeke or the mansion-guards) get well defined, while others (for example Saya's dad) are a bit brushed aside.
Let me reitterate: This is fine and shows you know how to spend your time.
Finally, the MC: I almost had a stroke trying to read his name at first (<--no offence if this is your own name) and it is a good move that you adress his naming problems in the story it

Exactly what you expect a story involving high school of the dead where MC makes mistakes, but is still fairly competent as he gets more and more experience. Author does a real good job at portraying the different characters particularly the main characters. If you enjoy fanfics and highschool of the dead you should love this one as well.

One of the best Fanfiction webnovel I have read till now.
I like how each action scene is detailed in order for the readers to imagine the scenarios as if they were watching a movie or an anime. In my case, I read through the series in the original anime art style format. It would be more accurate to say that i watched this series play out in my head as an actual anime rather than just reading through words.
I have re-read it once more now and I gotta say. It still hits the same.
*Insert "How to train your dragon" meme of Stoic*
But with that being said I hope the author continues the series again cause it was just starting to get interesting with the prospective for a more expanded storyline which goes beyond the point where the original storyline stopped tragically with the death of HOTD's author Daisuke Satō.
A Legend of our times for creating one of the best zombie apocalypses manga/anime may his soul rest in peace.
But anyways, like I said at the beginning. A wonderful fanfiction which should be known to more people.
The story was so inspirational that even I made my own HOTD fanfic. Although its quality is not on par with this.
