Don't know how I found a obscure novel written four years ago, but it completely fulfilled what I was looking for. As an alterhuman, I experience these feelings often, and this short story put it into words perfectly (not saying the author is an alterhuman just saying its relatable). The beats in the tale read pretty fluidly and the way the paragraphs are comprised is very aesthetically pleasing.
Overall great story! - RznRoyal Road★★★ 3.0What has happened to the main character is left up to the imagination and instead the raw emotions and needs are presented with simple descriptions. It leaves a feeling of being stifled or suffocated as the title says, but it the conclusion goes to release the tension without explaining what the MC is. That leaves it partially unresolved for me.
