I like Shades Darkside (http://royalroadl.com/fiction/11703) as a good, up-and-coming zombie fic! But there's more than just zombies!

Not sure why everyone is complaining about the chapters being too short. Yes they are short but they release often and it's an interesting story. Short it may be, but I for one can handle my LitRPG in short bursts.

Well, this is really a good surprise! It has a nice spin from the other stories, and the ability of the mc is full of possibilities. Honestly, I can't wait to read more chapters!
So far I only see 2 problems. One being that the chapters are far too short. It barely lets you any time to inmerse into the story before the chapter ends. It is fine when you discover this story and have 30+ chapters ahead to read to your satisfaction. But when you only have one chapter to read then the experience you get from the story is too poor.
The other problem is the obvious lack of imagination in the mc. He literaly has access to any skill or object he wants, and the resources to buy them. All he has to do is to think about them and that's it. But what does he do? Nothing. He could buy powers to the point of becoming invincible, but for some reason he doesn't even try. This is clearly a giant plot hole.
But well, the story is really good and worth reading.

The chapters are too short. Way too short. If I don't count the status screen at the end of the chapter, chapter 13 was only 539 words. That's barely 2 paragraphs.

Really good idea on a genre I love reading currently. Unfortunately that's it, a good idea and not a good story. Chapters are too small, the MC is dumb and not fleshed out in any way.
Don't want to seem like I'm just hating the story, as I did keep reading in the hope it got better. Unfortunately for me it didn't.  If u don't mind short... and I'm talking short.. chapters in which half the text is a copy and paste of his current abilities, gear and credits then give it a try. Never know u may like it, as I said the story idea is actually good.
Hopefully you do re-right and give ur idea a better story.

Good start but the short chapters are really annoying to read. Just merge the chapters worst case scenario just add a page break between chapters.
Will add a full review if the chapters ever get to a normal length

I want to like this, but there isn't enough character development and the chapters are just too short to get into.  There is a lot of room for improvement with the story line and plot, but the basic premise is a decent foundation to work with.
The power creep however is insane. The MC goes from a normal joe to bascially a juggernaut in about 5 paragraphs at one point.  I've found that creative use of powers is much better when there are limitations on power.  With someone like superman, basically invulnerable, super fast/flies/strong, he basically just pounds everything into the ground.  Someone like batman on the other hand much more compelling because he has to out think his opponents.

Like others said it has an interesting concept and could be promising.
However, currently the time it takes me to load between the chapters is the same time it takes for me to read a chapter. This gives you an indication of how short they are. I'm not sure if even mashing 10-20 chapters together into one would even flow properly with the structure of it all.

This story could be interesting but between the extremely short chapters and the story feeling like a list it becomes tedious to read.
