Description

The threat: the destruction of all life on Earth.

The agents: a young man with a system, and a military woman in charge of Bureau of Supernatural Affairs.

Albert woke up and saw a Quest waiting for him, from a [System] that had not come without reason. Its purpose was to give him power to fight an invasion of Earth at the hands of an unknown species.

One day, one step at a time. First, he must become strong.

And he is not alone. There is another: a woman of pure steel and resolve working against all odds to save humanity.

Slow start, then the pace picks up. Stakes are real. Choices matter. Characters make mistakes. Progression makes sense and no power creep. No dumb villains. No plot armor.

I've seen a lot of stories attempt physics-inspired magic or use of magic, but this one does it better than most. The author definitely seems to have thought this through, and in particular demonstrates deeper understanding than the MC has. That knowledge is nicely woven in together with more conceptual and intuitive aspects. I'm really enjoying it so far.

Reading this has been a blast. I saw it was stubbing soon and decided to give it a shot, over the last five days I have read he whole book! Sure it has some ups and downs but so does every book, overall the story is really fun and it made me think about some concepts that I otherwise wouldn’t. There are a few times throughout the book where major tonal shifts occur. They are by no means bad at all however when I was reading I would have to stop for a bit and let the new direction settle before I could dive back into it in depth, but that might just be me being odd. The characters felt fleshed out and real, and the ending actually felt like it made sense and fit the story. For a bit I was worried we would get an open ended conclusion where the story is never fully rounded off, however the author did not disappoint and delivered a solid ending. I’m grateful that I had the chance to read this and am excited to read more from the author! The read was so good I am even debating picking up a physical copy of it if they ever decide to make one.

The book is amazing overall, the grammer is all good there is almost no mistakes and the few mistakes are always fixed quickly. The story is well thought out. The only thing I am a bit annoyed with is the side characters as they are not really talked out much and don't have much emotion, the MC on the other hand is very well done and the choices he makes are logical and make sense.

I'll be entirely honest, I initially began reading this for a review swap, by about chapter 3 I'd forgotten about that and was simply reading it for my own pleasure and intend to keep reading this my review.
    Grammar
A broad vocabulary used well, yet to see a grammar error.
    Story
It's a LitRPG set on an apocalyptic Earth, if you like those you will like Earth's Chosen. It's not especially original, it's not spectacularly innovative but it doesn't need to be because for all it's retreading old ground it's doing it as close to perfect as I've seen in the genre.
    Style
Vivid descriptions, thoughtful and insightful inner dialogue. Honestly I'm struggling to figure out how to describe the style properly and the best I can come up with is that it lacks that stilted feeling a lot of LitRPG have where the author is trying to introduce things too fast or deliberately having to dance around topics it doesn't want to unveil until later. It takes its time and while making sure none of that time is wasted either.
    Character
The characters comes across as fully-fleshed people with actual backstories that effect their actions, which is about the highest accolade you can give characters. Both main characters are great, from Samantha's no-nonsense defence of Earth to Albert's purposeful experimentation.

As cataclysm looms on the horizon in a world teetering on the brink of annihilation. That's the foundation that forms the backdrop of this solidly woven narrative. Strange phenomena begin to creep through the fabric of reality, unnoticed by the world's inhabitants. Buried within old tales and historical records, whispers of this impending doom linger, shaping our understanding of a calamity forged in the fires of millennia past.
We follow two characters who are polar opposites, each navigating their altered reality with starkly contrasting methods. The narration echoes their dissimilarity, forging two distinct voices that gradually intertwine, their fates sealed in an impending conflagration of conflict.
Albert, our earnest and zealous protagonist, is abruptly bestowed with a system - a conduit for newfound powers. His fervor to explore these new capabilities eclipses any trepidation about the system's ominous implications, immersing him in a surreal world of Progression. Albert stands oblivious to the apocalyptic signs surrounding him, enraptured in his fantastical journey, sheltered by a sagacious mentor and an eclectic, capable ensemble.
In stark contrast, we have the stoic and enigmatic head of a goverment agency, her role bound in dealing with the encroaching mystical crisis. Her character shrouded in mystery, the narration meticulously hides her inner workings, presenting only her actions. It teases us with subtle hints about her intentions, deepening the enigma that is her character.
The narrative unravels at a goodly, creeping pace, alternating between viewpoints to build a sense of looming dread while allowing readers to become familiar with the system and its uncanny powers. Then, like a force of nature, the tempo shifts, hurling our protagonists into an unrelenting maelstrom of challenges and crises. Their responses are ingeniously crafted, bordering on the megalomaniacal, showcasing the dynamic nature of their characters.
The magic within the narrative i

I personally am a sucker for a Mage-style story, so this one is right up my alley. Bonus: incorporation of cultivation-like elements. I'm excited to see what our MC does with his powers as he grows.
Story: The story is a slow burn for Albert since growing accustomed to his powers and strengthening them takes him a reasonable amount of time. To counter-balance this, Samantha Cromwell is steeped in action and seems to be coordinating local Government movements on the ongoing plot. It leads to a balance of activity, and there is some action from Albert within the first few chapters.
Character: Samantha Cromwell will appeal to readers looking for powerful female archetypes. She is authoritative, and though the reason is unknown, the military men listen to her and whisper her secrets. The only reason I'm putting this at four stars is that certain character actions & reactions can feel a little rushed. Thus far, it has yet to harm my experience of the story.
Style: The style is written from the close third-person perspective, incorporating a narrator who has insight into Albert and Samantha's internal states. This lends a good sense of emotionality to the characters while allowing for the activities of side characters to remain viewed from a bird's eye perspective.
Grammar: Some minor errors aren't intrusive to the reading experience. Edit: The author particularly corrected one I pointed out, so if that's your thing, they are open to feedback.
All in all, this story will appear to readers looking for magician or cultivation archetype stories. The plot leans on LITRPG tropes but with the expected unique personal twist.

The characters are vivid. A class masterpiece from the author.
The only thing I could criticize would be the speed in which the chapters are uploaded.... I guess I'll just have to wait and see
    Otherwise just great work
    Big compliments to the author
Please keep up the good work and thank you

First, as the title says... this is actually written about a "mage" MC. He's not a spellsword or a wannabe mage who decides this is the real world and his chances of survival are better if he learns how to use a sword. His equipment isn't what makes him a mage... it's his skills and spells along with his mentality. There are some grammar/spelling issues and words that aren't actually words (according to google) but the idea is recognizable by the context. Character progression is a little slow but actually makes more sense than someone who suddenly gets a "system" and can nuke everyone in a couple of days. He makes mistakes and he doesn't have some "eidetic" memory. This MC is more "real" than MC's in many stories I've read recently. If you are looking for a good story that doesn't have an instantly OP character with realistic (magic - I know right??) growth.... maybe give this one a try. I like it. I think you will too.

So far (by Chapter 5), the character has suddenly discovered magic and has started being able to do it in some limited ways. He seems to be the only one with magic and so far we don't know why. There's also some sort of dodgy cover-up going on which has hints of being linked to some inter-dimensional conspiracy, or genocide, or something like that. All in all, by Chapter 5, I certainly have more questions than answers, making me curious about what's to come.
    Style
A decent style for a story. Some awkward phrasing, but most of it flows nicely. The first couple of chapters feel a bit slow, but they speed up after that. The two parts of the story are nicely juxtapositioned with the view into the conspiracy happening every so often and linking in with the main part of the story.
    Story
So far interesting between the exposure to the magic system and the questions caused by the military side of things. I'm sure the action is going to start fairly soon too.
    Character
A bit of an oblivious guy, Albert seems to have his head rather stuck in the clouds. He's certainly got room to develop, though the glimpse we see at the beginning of the story (of future him?) certain gives hints to how he might develop.
    Grammar
Pretty good. Very few errors I noticed.

Story has a slow start but builds up to be really entertaining one.
System design is unique and really enjoable until somewere around chapter 115 called "jeff".
From there story goes to shit and starts to be complete dumpster, system goes from 5/5 to at best 1/5. Dropped some chapters after because it started to become boring as fuck
