- Sayanel LyantRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5this novel could use a polishing pass or 5. I was enthusiastic of the premise, but the execution is really not that good:
The dialog rings hollow, the characters don't have any depth, and the feel of overpowered main character doesn't wait until even the 3rd paragraph to rear its ugly head. And unlike in isekai stories, there is no actual explanation for the advantages the Mc has. He just is better, which I don't find engaging.
also, while lengthy descriptions aren't a nessesity for a novel to be good, their absence must be compensated by a good narrative rythm and engaging action and dialog, neither of which I found in what little I read of this story.
That being said, no one gets good at anything without either extensive experience or study or both. I encourage the author to keep on writing, but to try and view his own work as well as that of others with a critical eye to get the most out of the experience.
