Description
Our way of life it ended faster than we ever thought possible. It didn't happen with a nuclear war, an asteroid, or a damn ice age. It ended because of another war . . . far away from us. TheRipplesfrom that war changed the fabric of everything. If only we had known that it was just the beginning.
Most of humanity, gone. Magic, it was back. Monsters, they're real. And me, I'mdifferent.I'malone.
NOTE: This is a very much revised and edited version of my other book. Key elements have been changed.

Author of Blood Brothers and The Dream - LovedifferentRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I do enjoy the premise as I love the man vs world type of thing, and the flashback is pretty rare and funny. But the whole thing is so convoluted as to how he gets the spells and instantly learns them is a big oof for me, plot armor learning is one of my pet peeves and is keeping me from rating it higher. Also the girlfriend tree thing is kinda a mixed bag for me on one hand why do you care for something like that when it is what she wanted and looks happy on the hand I loved the castaway and that reference made me chuckle Winston was my favorite part of that movie. So yeah I'll be continue reading for now
- ShadowKnight6992Royal Road★★ 2.0The grammar is okay, I didn’t find or have any issues with it
the plot is pretty good I like it, it’s more on the unique side like yes similar things happened but not like this novel.
the side characters are interesting in a good way, like some of them seemed dumbed down to the mc’s level (which is happening ALOT) and it’s kinda getting repetitive.
now onto the Mc, well the Mc is a bundle of everything, a couple good, some okay, and many MANY NOPES and he is the main negative in this novel, he’s chaotic but his neutral is being a simping idiot to a tree that’s “dead” also used to be his girlfriend so like his girlfriend is given a wish and didn’t consider the Mc at ALL and turned into a “dead” tree, and the Mc is obsessed with her for some reason when she really didn’t want to be with him and just wanted to be with nature and the whole plot so far has been him simping for a tree and it is so one sided it’s sad, like he’s unintentionally given her so many good things but it WILL make her into a unique entity that won’t care for or even remember “mortal” things so he’s already lost before he’s begun but it’s literally the main point of the story, it’s ruining it and badly like how could I read a novel when the CENTAL POINT IS ALREADY SET IN STONE unless for plot armour which is literally the only thing that can rewrite this catastrophe.
