Story of a David : Say Hello to the Reaperman

“Murderer” the crowd whispers as they see David Matchworth, the former Patriarch and colleague, escorted to a makeshift cell under heavy guard. It is the first time in the eons since humanity started their journey through the dead womb of space, that a homicide has been committed. They whisper the word like an airborne disease, a foreign concept as alien as the creatures that inhabit planet Earth below. Maybe it is a disease. Maybe the war for the one habitable planet in the Milky Way has poisoned their minds. Or maybe, if they just send David far, far away, they can forget this outburst of violence and continue exterminating whole species from the comfort of their ARK ships.
