- zasederRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0One of the best books I have read on this website.
At first the plot is fairly boring with a generic magical academy setting and some large plot holes. However as the story continues the holes get resolved and the story completely turns around.
This story is massively underrated and deserves to have so much more attention than it is getting. When I checked the statistics I was shocked to see that it only had 60k views as it deserves far more. - BarrierSlayerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I started reading it today, and I couldn’t put it down. It started off about as generic as it could get, but then the real plot started to reveal itself, and it literally blew my mind. This is literally peak fiction, and I don’t say that about a lot of things. Enjoy the story of him waking up, adapting to his new life, and slowly learning more about the world around him, as well as the truth it.
- DiosholgazanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Holy crap, this story is great. Usually when a story starts with a protagonist who "reads or writes cliche stories" it's a justification for the story itself to be a cliché, so I expected that when I started reading, I'm surprised I didn't! The idea is great and very original! All the mysteries are very intriguing, the characters are not flat and the protagonist is not an idiot!
- KalaynurRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0In the vast desert of light novels or dare i say novels there has been a drought of creativity. Cliches upon cliches, stories with drier charachter developments than hamburgers served in mcdonalds, and worst of all world building with no world whatsoever. I feel like i've found the oasis i've been looking for, and here i am saying this lads. I don't think this one is an illusion. Come, sit down and quench your thirst with us on this fine escapade of ours.
At first most of us and you as well will be met with what looks like another magic academy that's written by a capable author but this pretty much fades into the back of your mind as you delve into the world of stop writing, and i don't mean the capable author part, that just gets even better. every chapter will force you to think about the world, plethora of characters that all partake in the story and do in fact stay memorizable, aside from those that clearly needn't reckoned, the world building. DAMN THE WORLD BUILDING.
As it is clearly stated above i do value world building above all others and i would like to talk about it more but i don't think it would do justice to the author to talk about in a vacuum. So i decided i should just talk about the way our character alec interracts with the said world. Alec (i honestly forgot what his name was in the real world xd ) being the one to get transported into the world has no memories of the world and neither do we, the reader. You get to learn the world with alec every chapter, a drop at a time. While learning about the world you get to see it from the eyes of alec that we know but the introduction of specialized magic that one shall not name in this review makes us question if what we see is in fact what is out there. The horrors of reality does hinder ones comfort whilst the comfort of delusions makes you oblivious.
Now, snap back to reality. This review is not real, there are unintelligible scars on your body, and you're lying on the floor watching a red sky. - ArcanaVitaeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Initially it seemed to be a standard Magic Academy story if more well written then normal. But as time went on and we learned more and more about the magic system, world and plot things became more and more compelling. I'll be honest went into this kinda expecting something that was mid but ended up finding a hidden gem of a story.
- SonooRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A surprisingly good story about a seemingly generic magic academy with a plot that is anything but generic.
A first I was very confused by the events that made no sense or had nothing to do with the story, and I was even angry with the author, but when I saw that the point was that it didn't make sense, the story took off. Simply wonderful, it captivated me from start to finish, wanting to know more about everything that happens in the plot of this seemingly generic magic academy that is anything but generic.
I just say give it a chance, and if you don't understand anything, it's because you're on the right track, you just need to read a little more. - Treadmill2000Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0If you’re like me, you’ll get confused by the title. If you’re even more like me, you’ll look to the reviews for a better idea of what you’re reading. Simply put, this fiction is one of the best on this site. Starts slow, almost cliche. Gets way, WAY, better. Start reading, and keep reading. You will be hooked.
- lllRadakRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Yes, this novel isn't for everyone. You need to keep reading until the best part, in ch 35 at least? Maybe less maybe more. When you reach that part, you'll know that it was worth it. To me, this novel needs slowburn tag.
And remember... Don't Stop Writing!!
PD: Sorry for my english, it's my second language. - thegiantpossumRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I have no idea why this gets high reviews, nothing even happens
Don't look at the sky, the sun is fine
Just another bog standard magic academy where the main character has an OP ability
Remember remember remember
I guess you could read it to just pass a little bit of time
WHAT IS OUTSIDE THE ACADEMY - wothereRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Original magical system and concept, engaging characters and plot, subtle mystery where every twists and revelation makes it so much worse.
Highly recommend to any who were even slightly interested by the synopsis.
Ever wondered how it felt when you realise the slice-of-life you're reading has been sliced apart, and you actually only saw what was left?
Wonder no more, the answer is here.
