Ten years ago, the Earth was struck by a devastating meteor shower. From the craters of cities rose a horrific plague of creatures called the Scourge. In an attempt to save the world, a pantheon of alien gods allied with various governments worldwide. Those selected by the gods are called paragons. Each paragon receives the gift of supernatural powers and the full support of their country's government. Many dream of one day becoming a paragon and obtaining the wealth and fame the title comes with.Steve is your average 20-year-old Harvard dropout who works at a record store. His parents died in a freak raccoon attack, so he is a little funny in the head. For several weeks now, Steve has been receiving spam calls from an unknown number. Like any average 20-year-old, he ignores the calls and blocks the number. The calls continue until a federal agent follows Steve to work to notify him of his selection to become a paragon. Follow Steve as he is forced to accept tedious responsibilities like fighting monsters .
