This review is book 1, the only one I've read so far.
Awesome book with a badass protagonist, and plenty of action. However, it wasn't everything I had expected, hence the 4.5 star review rather than the full 5. As long as you aren't expecting any real romance, or indeed anything more than an action packed adventure, then it's probably worth 5 stars. The other stuff I had expected is apparently going to come in later books, so I'm looking forward to that, as well as more of what this book had.
I will admit that I'm a little apprehensive, since I don't like conspiracy stories too much and there does seem to be some of that going on in the background, but as long as it doesn't become an overpowering thing that just crushes all opposition (which it seems too many do) it should be fine. I don't get the impression that the story's going to go in that direction, so looking forward to seeing how it's handled.
