I don’t give out many full 5 stars, but having read the first book in its entirety as it was released on Reddit (like many others who have rated it here), I have to say it deserves it.
As superhero stories go, this one’s quite unique in its premise, and the characters and their powers are facinating.
The writing style was great, the grammar nigh-flawless, and the characters fun and interesting.
Seriously, check it out. If you’re too impatient to wait, you can even go devour it on the author’s personal subreddit... which I’ve just realized he started up book 2 there a few months ago and I’d missed it, so excuse me while I go waste another day doing nothing but reading....

I'm not a very avid book reader. I love reading short stories, but I haven't read a book in years, aside from Star Child. When I first saw the writing prompt on Reddit, I thought it was a great premise. Then I saw Leo's post and I was absoutely hooked! I binged the first book in a day or two, and I was thrilled to see that a second book was already in the making. The power system is akin to My Hero Academia's quirks, if you've heard about it.

Really nice premise, interesting to see how a whole world sprung up from a simple writing prompt. Whole thing was really well handled and co-ordinated. Occassional misspellings were present in the book, which was minorly annoying, but manageable. Wish the author would have said this was on amazon, since I prefer reading on a tablet :P

I found this author stories to be refreshing and interesting. The magic system is very well thought, the characters fun, there is a lot of potential here. Yes, some things are maybe not as fully developed, but as a writer, it is on a very good level and can be at some point in the big writers league.

Remember reading the prompt or the CYOA before, but it's better than the others by a large margin. Your writing style is great and the premise is great too. Just hope you don't drop it like many others.
The grammar is almost perfect, the keyword is ALMOST, with a few mistakes here and there. But I'm sure many readers have dealt with far worse so that isn't something you have to worry yourself with.
    Good Luck!

Just finished book one and there was a request to review, but i'd rather keep reading so I'll keep it short.  Nicely novel take on a world with super powers. Somewhat OP MC with room to grow.  I dunno, it's good. I'm gonna read more right now.

I've listened to this audiobook before. I'll give it the same rating here I gave it on Amazon.

    I've read until chapter 40.
Story and style are okay, but it doesn't really draw you in either and could use at least some jokes in my opinion. Grammar is good though.  Characters are a bit flat and sometimes weird and I can't seem to care about the MC, he's just an average joe with a strong power. Not particularly kind, funny, smart, courageous or just anything, as average as can be. I do like some of the side characters though.
