First off, this book is about somebody named Zack who dies and goes to a magic school where he meets new students and starts to learn abilities as professors teach their respective fields.
Now, let's handle the grammar part first, I understand English is not the native language of the author, but there are many grammar problems, for example the quotes. There are other grammar mistakes, like writing fibre instead of fiber. I highly advise to download Grammarly.
Now, there is the font of the writing lay out, it would be better to use the same font as the chapter Awakening in each chapter to improve the reading experience.
Now there is the switching of the POV, I would either stick to third person, or first person, or switch with clear break points, I found myself wondering at times, what POV we are currently following.
As for the writing style and the story, I did like the style and the story, but the fact Zack seems a bit, devoid of emotions troubles me a bit. This might be due to POV shifts, the other characters, like the professors, seem to have more time to shine.
I do like the students and how they are going on a path of learning new spells and skills, all the characters seem fun, but I am not settled yet on Zack.
If you like books about magic schools and are looking for something new, then you should definitely try this book, and once the author has downloaded Grammarly and changed the font, I will add more stars for grammar.
Edit: I have noticed the author is now hard at work revising many grammar mistakes, there is still some work to be done, but only having a better font is already pleasant. Keep up the good work!
