- Adam SampsonRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is one of those books where you read a few pages, and then you just wish that it would never end.
It sticks to many xanthia traditions without making them feel like tropes. The MC gains power, but it doesn't feel unearned. Not that this is a slow progression, she certainly lucks out and gains power quickly. It is just that it feels like events are logical, not deus ex machine. - Blue09Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0If i dint mention it before, then heck, ill do it now. XD
Among the many, Many, MANY cultivation stories, this is among my absolut favorits. Not only is the mc likable, the world setting too, is great. The great lack of all face slapping and 'gimmi face as i have none' tropes make it even better.
Not that there is no 'i need face, gimmi some' in this story, but its more on a 'realistic' note, and not drawn out to the point that it appears as a bad parody. Oh, and no face slapping and trampling over others.
Characters are also more on the believable side, so that even the side characters appear more real then in many stories where you are bombarded with 1D characters.
As such, a tottal thumbs ub from my side. If you have the time, give this story a try, i dont think you'll be dissapinted.

Oh, and in case you're looking here and this story is on hiatsu -> book 1 is finished and as such is going through editing. You can read it without problems. :) - Chilly_PepperRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Love the world, love the characters, love the story. The progression and development of characters is steady and very satisfying. Timeskips are used well to keep the story moving during extended growth and the action, conversations, and world-building are just fantastic. Quality slice of life sections are sprinkled throughout that breathe a lot of life into the story without ever slowing it down.
An absolutely exceptional story and well worth a read for anyone interested in progression novels. Looking forward to what comes next! - DeathlyOreoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is an xianxia mixed with litrpg story, with what sounds like will be a massive story exploring huge worlds (in the spire) still to come. Probably the biggest praise is that I can't wait for each new chapter to come out.
The major downside for me is that it seems like we are only at the very beginning of a massive story, but at one chapter a week I'm worried it'll take a loooong time for it to conclude.
Also, I'm not sure if it's true, but I believe the current rating for this story is lower than it deserves, caused by a ~6 month hiatus. - amyrlinengineerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I just finished reading volume 1, and I have to say, I'm loving this story. It's a very intriguing world, and I very much like Samantha. She makes a great MC so far. I haven't read much cultivation literature before, butt this was quite clear and easy to follow the system. Love the 3rd eye basis and the overarching conflict. Looking forward to continue to read more. Thanks for sharing!
- darksevenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overall, this is a very fun Cultivation story with just a hint of tower climbing! I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys cultivation stories. The MC has yet to "settle down" in one situation for very long which leads to a much more "adventerous" cultivation novels then say, ones that take place largely in a sect. I loved it!
Style: This is a very well executed cultivation novel with various western concepts mixed in satisfyingly. There's a lot less fighting over honor and sect politics and a lot more diversity in the social/poltiical landscape.
Story: The story has just the right mix of "short term interesting things/lucky chances" and "long term looming problems". Things aren't so rushed that you feel like "live or die panic" is the only setting the story knows, but still has plenty of danger and occurrences such that the MC always feels driven.
Grammar: As far as I can tell the grammar is flawless. I didn't notice any substantial errors in all 1k+ pages.
Character Score: The MC is just so human. She's arrogant and ambitious as any good cultivator should be, but she knows how to reign in both to fit her circumstances. She's not so proud she can't play "humble and cowed" when she needs to be, but not such a push over that she's constantly getting pushed around. Its a fantastic balance. - graziamkRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Kudos to the author! An intelligent, balanced, well written and engaging cultivation story.
Avoids many of the defects that plague other stories here in Royal road: poor plot, inconsistencies, or plot holes that can become very annoying. Also avoids the pitfall of an MC with severe inability to simply think, or so consumed by extreme passions that - to me - quickly become boring (anger, revenge, etc). - gte22Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0As somebody who rarly reads cultivation stories as finding one of quality is really like finding a needle in haystack I had my doubts when I started reading this story. The cover art and the stories description were however enough for me to give it a chance. I am very glad that I did, as this story has laid the foundations for being one of those rare cultivation stories of acutal quality.
The story is a very enjoyable read so far, although still somewhat short as of this writing. The grammar is excellent, which is allways refreshing on Royalroadl. Would I reccomend you to read this story? Yes, if you enjoy good stories then this very much is one I would reccomend! Fair warning, it is still somewhat short. I was very happy to find that the twelvth chapter had been published while I was busy binge reading the first eleven. Even if you are someone who is hesitant to read cultivation stories, something which in my opinion is justified given their average quality, I would still reccomend that you give this one a try. It is truly a joy to read. - maximum0428Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0First of all I wanna say that this has been one of the best stories I've read on this site in a long time, and have been following it since very early on in book one! I love the progression, I love the characters, I love the author's writing style!
The story never seems to get boring and always keeps progressing and the MC keeps getting stronger as it goes on. They're a really well thought out character with a good head on their shoulders, and always seems to find a creative solution to all the conflicts (not just murderhobo-ing around to progress lol). At the risk of some spoilers, I'll just say that the MC is never super OP, the challenges they face are always full of peril and danger that'll have you on the edge of your seat, but they do have a few special things about them that keeps them in the fight always with some really satisfying results and progression!
On top of all that, the author's writing style is very very good imo, very easy to read and descriptive enough to convey exactly what you need to know while also painting a good picture of what's going on. Immaculate grammar and spelling, no mistakes that I can discern at all, making it a very easy and entertaining read that I'd binge through again and again (and I have lol).
Overall, this story is one of my favorites and I will follow it for as long as it goes on. I'd recommend it to anyone that wants a good story in a very well thought out world with great characters and lots of juicy lore and progression! - Faithfree123Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is one of the better LitRPG I have read on RR. I like the setting with tower ascention. The world building is great with an organic step by step increase of the depth of the world. The decisions of the main character are logical! and mostly intelligent. I will continue reading this.
