Description
Seth is a young boy dreaming of going on a big adventure to explore the world, like any other ten-year-old does. The world expects him to follow his destiny to become the sword-wielding hero he was meant to be and beat all the evil in the world. All would be right in the world, except for one little thing: Seth dislikes swords. Instead, Seth decides to follow his life-long dream of becoming a Magician although Magic is something that was only mentioned in passing in the books he read. Accompanied by his goblin companion, Twig, Seth will face some of the many perils the world has in store for him. Though, he may be too ill-equipped to face them head-on…

- TwigletRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I made a profile specifically to review this story because I love it and I wasn't allowed to rate it without making an account. Overall this is pretty good. I might be biased since this is exactly the kind of weird niche story I like.
The style reminds me a little bit of Brandon Sanderson with the humouristic way of describing things. And I like that it's mostly dialogue so it's easy to follow along, and relatively quick to read.
The story is pretty good, but seems unfinished. The ending came quite abruptly and there are many unanswered questions at the end of chapter 21. So many loose threads, and it drives me nuts. I want more of this, and I want everything to come together better at the end. I hope you make a better ending for this because it really deserves it. The ending is the only thing that drags this down for me.
Regarding grammar: I appreciate that you've corrected mistakes when people have pointed them out in the comments. I wouldn't have known about them otherwise. Some sections are a little janky, but overall pretty good writing!
I love the characters! They are very well fleshed out, and the way they interact with each other really make them all very unique. Each of them stand out, even smaller side characters. I would love to see more backstory to many of them and learn more.
