Description

Kade thought his life was... fine. After the sky fell, he knew his life was perfect.

One moment, Kade was driving his truck back home. The next, the world went to hell.

The system decided that Earth was a perfect replacement for a planet that had just fallen, but humans werejusta little too weak to help. That was fine since the system had a solution:Force the humans to get strong.

Far too many would fall in the mad dash to get stronger, but Kade intended to be one of the few that thrived. Others might do this purely to survive, but he did it forfun... and humanity’s survival, of course.

Whatever it was, Kade was in heaven.

Great pacing, comedic breaks, different power sets, thoughtful characters, and plenty of mystery. This story covers all the things you want and gives you plenty of room to grow with the characters. Easily engaging and fun to get immersed in the world. Cant want to see how the world and story develop!!!

Finally, a Spear fic! I'm a sucker for good system apocs and this one's good... really good. Starts with a bang and keeps on building up. The Rankings is also a guilty pleasure of mine, cause why not? It gives you a clear vision about the MC's progress and the outside world, establishes that 'grand' picture.
So if you have a thing for strong-minded MCs who love to fight, then give this one a chance. And hey, this time we have a 'I also like to live dangerously' type of character, and you don't get those a lot here.

Just finished reading all current releases chapters   it is a enjoyable read so far for the genre and I'm looking forward to where it goes  and to see how the world and setting will be expanded on .
Nice to see a spear user and not a mage or swordsmen to mix things up.

I'm kind of a fan of the "System Apocalypse" genre and so far it has not let me down and from experience I can say that this story has a good start that draws you in with great battle scene descriptions and a main character that is it's own being while also being relatable (because anyone that can do that with a class that's not focused on combat is a definite hero in my books, because really - what is that point gap :D)

This has so far been a really fun read, I binged the first 12 chapters and I want more. The fights are fine and the system is pretty interesting. Very much worth reading, and I really hope this story continues on and realizes it's full potential. I am looking forward to the next chapter.

I have enjoyed the chapters to author has posted to date. As a reader I am disappointed the story development is on hiatus. I would really like the author to commit to returning and finishing the story in 2025. Without the commitment why would the readers follow a story in development to provide feedback?

I’m really liking it so far!
The main character is reasonable, though he’s a battle maniac. When I say battle maniac I mean he loves fighting—he’s not a cringe character that fights every person he sees.
Anyway, it’s early, and I don’t want to spoil/recount everything that has happened. I am very much enjoying this story and I look forward to each release.

This was looking up to be on par with primal hunter but apparently has taken a back burner im interested checking his other work as he does a good job of world building is seeming incomplete obviously due to length. The litrpg soulbound weapon is decent albeit taking away from the martial feel for magic could go either way and I understand it's hard to make a character overpowered without magic access but I think the butcher of gadobrha does a great job of blending magic into a physical fighting style versus the standerd bombard from a range cause spears can be thrown Path

The style and grammar of the story are good. I don't have much else to say about those. The characters are a bit too one-dimensional, but I don't mind that much.
Now, for the meat and potatoes of this review, I'll talk about the story. It follows the standard litrpg formula to the letter, which I don't dislike. I'm the average RoyalRoad reader after all. Absolutely minor spoilers beyond this point.
We've got the typical MC who is a battle maniac of just-barely-below-average-intelligence. The system apocalypse arrives and his tutorial rift happens to have the highest level enemy known compared to everyone else's on the planet. What a happy coincidence! He also finishes his challenge the quickest for the type of class he chose, and gets a super cool boon for his troubles. Immersion begins to fray at the edges at that point because I don't see how he could've been the fastest, but we move on.
His next rift happens to randomly upgrade in difficulty to one that's far too dangerous for Earth. This MC's luck is absolutely wild, but we move on. Immersion may be cracking but it has been following the formula well and it's an enjoyable enough read, at least until something goes too far.
The main character begins simping for a walking red flag. A bicycling red flag to be precise. She blatantly, and habitually lies for no reason; she does this even when she knows her lies will be exposed in just a short amount of time. The main character realizes it each time, but never questions her on it. She gives off the vibe of a kindergarten teacher who moonlights as a serial killer. She's seriously creepy. But, she's described as conventionally attractive so none of that matters.
He parties up with her to see what she can do, and determine if he can trust having her work underneath him, in charge of defending the city when he's off getting stronger, as she implies she wants to do. So the author gives us a chapter called "Party" where we'll obviously get to see what it's like to delve the

I read this story up until chapter 15.
I really system apocalypse stories, and I really like LITRPG.  Unfortunately I also like internal coherence and logic.  A lot of people will probably enjoy this story and I agree with the other review that it may be better than Farmer [MAGE], however,  that does not make it good though.
The MC is generic, the system is absolutely random, progression seems to happen also randomly.   It can't seem to decide if the system is an active character or a distant administrator.
As I was reading other reviews I finally noticed that it is the same author as Farmer [Mage[ and while I still don't think it is all that good, it is an amazing leap forward in the quality of the writing.
This story is not for me, and most likely the same with the next couple as well.  However if the author continues to improve I can definitely see them having success on this platform.
