This story has potential to be one of the premier stories on this site. The background is very complex and detailed. The characters are deep and act like real people.
If you love sci-fi space marine-esque characters but don’t like the grim-dark aspect of the world then this is for you. It’s just dark enough to keep an adult interested but not dark enough to make you lose sleep. It’s rows of the line of being best of both worlds.
Hope this story continues for a long time because with the pace and world building, it’s looking like this can go on and in a million different directions, and all of them are exciting.
also this story balanced magic and sci-finvery well compared to other stories which makes in stronger than the others. I think this has to deal with the fact that there is a trinity in terms of power where one facet of power is weaker to another but stronger against a third one. This makes for very interesting battles with OP characters in only certain situations and not all situations like in some stories.
One more thing that I like about this story is that it doesn’t harp too long on some boring aspects of training arcs or school arcs. We all know those arcs where the lead character trains for what feels like an eternity. It’s warranted in some stories where what they learn is pivotal to the plot, but most stories just use it as filler so they can continue writing for the sake of writing. This story does not do that thankfully.
overall I would 100% recommend this story to anyone. Be aware that there are two povs in the story. At least for now.
