This is fantastic and has a very likable protagonist. Good back story as well as interesting characters. It leaves you wondering what's gonna happen next. A medieval fantasy with traces of real life political intrigue and magic fantasy mixed together. Personally I can't wait for the next chapter and I hope this kes it into the top 100 list.

Fun story! Mari's journey is an interesting one, and I enjoy seeing what she does with magic. It's a short story so far, but I'm still interested in how her home city fares without her, and it might be fun to see how the people she meets change after her passing. All in all, I like it!
Grammar and punctuation's good, and I didn't notice any eggregious errors. No walls of text here, making it easier to read than many stories on this site.
Characters are fun an well written, though 7 chapters is a bit too short to flesh out most of them.
