Description
Aurelie Kanos was never normal. But her life takes a turn for the weirder when, in the middle of falling off of an eight-story building, an inter-dimensional rift opens up and swallows her whole. Now she's stranded in a whole other universe, one far more ruthless than the one she's been living in, a world filled with monsters and super humans. She must find a way to get back safe and sound.
UPDATE: I am now going back through and rewriting this story. All updated chapters will be in the format of UPDATE: "Chapter Title". The rewrite will follow the major plot points, but some minor points may change, so it may be confusing to read the old version and the new version together. I plan to update every Wednesday and Sunday. Thank you for your patience!

- DarkWerelingRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Great story, this is going to definitely be in my top reads on RRL. Well written with few mistakes. The mc is both deadly and likable. I'm only 20 chapters in but am having a good time and 38 more to go. This is looking like it's an OP story, which doesn't bother me at all .

There is a rather horrifying tendency that many of the best authors tend to fall prey to: they create a good world, populate it with good characters, then proceed to force a previously decided storyline even if it goes against said characters' personalities and/or sensibilities... Logic and continuity join causality at the bar doing shots of low quality moonshine so that none of them will be able to see/remember the afflicted character playing with the idiot ball.
In this particular case, we get an MC that is handed a chance with a severe time limit to get powerful fast. Instead of using this chance for all it's worth she just stops at an arbitrary point almost at random that is conveniently just a smidgen below the local best in her generic age group... We are given the flimsy excuse that getting too much power too fast would give her problems adjusting to. Right after we get told that she has eidetic memory and the type of perfect body control that lets her copy fighting styles just by observing them once. So, instead of the MC doing the sensible thing and getting as far ahead onthe power curve as possible, as her overarching goals and her personality's practical side should dictate, she plays around.
Then we get to the boss of book one. Boss gets profiled by MC, its personality figured out. Boss is too powerful for MC to personally take in a fair fight, so she pulls together an elaborate scheme that holds incredible personal risk for her when she intentionally gets herself captured by said boss (naturally after deciding that a solution without personal risk is preferable), but manages to pull it off perfectly. Except for wasting limited resources for it (a bullet - of which she decidedly had too little of: rare are the guns that only hold a measly six shots in a magazine andnowhere was it mentioned that everyone was running around with either revolvers or something of sufficiently large caliber to li
