Somewhere Over the Edge

In the middle of the world stands a pillar that stretches out far beyond any imagination. Constantly humming, though no-one hears its resonance. The tower grants the people of this world gifts. Some worship the tower, some hate it for everything it's taken from them, some brave souls even climb the tower. Elodin was born on the lowest part of the world, Gaia, though he doesn't know his birth parents his adoptive parents care for him deeply, he's always dreamed of climbing the tower, much to the dismay of his family. Elodin plans to climb the tower when he turns 15 and receives his gift from tower.
