- FourthRangerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's not the most original idea as far as system integration stories go, Randidly Ghosthand and a few other books have started like this, but it's well written so far and I'm genuinely interested in reading more as this book comes out. Great work on the first couple of chapters! Keep it up!
- DedlineRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Well, I have just finished chapter 9, and even that is just the beginning of the world-building.
The setting alone deserve a praise. The story put our MC in a special (but understandable) circumstance that later cause him get a special treatment from the System without us feeling it was forced ,like many other "cheat skills" MCs. Well, the author even hinted there was more to it than that, so I expect a plot twist later.
Our MC is rather relatable. He was calm and calculating, but still very human. He feel fear, he feel anger, he feel hopelessness, and he find conviction through that. But I think a little flashbacks here would be nice, to let us know more about his background. Unless this follows the Chosen One trope, of course.
The System were a standard one, with character panels, stats, skills, etc... through revelation, there are hints of something working outside the system, other methods to scale power and something to exploit it. It would drive and expand the plot greatly later.
The writing is very thoughtful. Balance between description and storytelling. And the author do it smoothly so we dont get obvious expositions.
Grammar and prose are well-handled. Well, English is my second language so I can not really evaluate anyone, but if you're not a nitpicker, I think it's good 👍
Overall, I think this has great potential and is be a good read if you're into this genre, especially since it still has so much ground for development. - HippioScipioRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The story is a familiar one. Your everyday lad is out caving in the wilderness when suddenly the system arrives and he gets trapped in a dungeon.
I am fond of the opening as the author uses it correctly and the progression is well done. The character is also endearing and there seems to be a lot of interesting stuff put in place for his future, a promising sign.
And even though I am personally not a fan of the aesthetic of actual blue boxes, I understand I am probably in a distinct minority on the matter and so if it's your thing then I'm sure you'll find much to enjoy in this fiction.
Overall, very nice.
