Some Wounds Don't Heal

When Fable was younger, she often read stories about the exploits of heroes and adventurers, and dreamt of becoming one herself. There was just one major problem: Every single one of those heroes and adventurers in those stories had been selected by the Spire System---a one in ten-thousand chance. Bitterly, she had given up on her dream and resolved to resign herself to the boring life of a noble scion.

Then, long after she had abandoned her dream, a notification appeared before her. That is where this story begins.

DISCLAIMER:I do not know how to write everything I wish to write here, but the most important things of note are that this is the first piece of fiction I have ever released. I write for myself, as a hobby. This is practice, so I cannot make any promises as to the reliable release or quality of this fiction, but I hope to share something that makes me happy in the hope it will make others happy too.

What to expect:- Slow progression through a LitRPG system.- Some darkness in the world and mind.- Tropes/cliches/arcs I think are fun.- In the event of romance later in the fiction, it will most likely be sapphic. (Just to manage expectations and potentially not waste someone's time if it's not their thing.) I have no plans for it at this current time, however.
