Samuel Cardwell's been Isekai-ed on accident. Known as a tag-along or a buy-one-get-one-free, he's pulled into a permadeathmedieval fantasy game world chock-full of zombies. The fast ones. What are the rules? How do the stats work? Can you opt-out?

The Core, the mysterious entity running the game world, is mercurial and unhelpful.

It's an all-out brutal fight for survival with more people dying than Samuel can comprehend. There's magic, too, if he can just figure out how it even works before he dies.
