Description
Śri’-verā is a teenage trainee of humble origins with slow-progressing skills. She works as a kitchen hand at the Himalayas Practice House ofThe Book of the Deadwhile spending seven years learning Sanskrit mantras from her guru, Rainbow-Share.
Amidst her daily chores—part of the temple’s one-meal-a-day tradition—Śri’ spends her time wandering the secluded valleys with her loyal companion, a shepherd dog named Drakos. Together, they seek out sacred meditation caves and ancient tomb sites. However, on the Yin-Yang Year of the Jade Chakra Dragon (equivalent to 1.1.2025), Śri’ is tragically killed in an avalanche—an attack orchestrated by The Shatterer Enchantree Concubine Crone. In retaliation for Śri’s intrusion, the Concubine Crone summoned three shapeshifter goblins and Brikka: the thousand-year-old fox spirit, the jade avatar of the musical string, and the nine-headed pheasant.
Miraculously, Śri’ is pulled back from the brink of death by her devoted companion Drakos and the rare Himalayas Snow Lotus Avatar—an ancient flower that blooms only once in eons. (It last appeared in the 21st century BCE on 999,999.1.1 BCE, in the 1st century AD on 99,999.1.1 AD, and, by sheer fate, in 2025.1.1.)
For an unknown reason, Drakos undergoes a transformation, gaining supernatural powers, while Śri’ develops the ability to take on an avatar form unseen by others. With this newfound power, she receives assistance in advancing her training and uncovering her true purpose.
Yet, she suddenly finds herself trapped in the fragile form of the Snow Lotus, with no clear way out. Desperate, she must unravel the mysteries withinThe Heaven Book—an Artifact Book of the Tome she took from the Concubine Crone—as well as half the lost version ofThe Book of the Dead. Answers lie hidden in both, but time is running out.
Śri’ must act fast, for her new life was not given for her sake alone. Perils lurk at every corner, and even as a reincarnated lotus, she is far from safe.Snow Lotus Avatarand her training in awakening the consciousness-light of the chakra points may be the only means to safeguard her new universe—but first, she must survive long enough to try.

- YahoZRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Your synopsis stands out with its blend of cosmic mysticism, existential themes, and a unique timeline that spans millions of years—something rarely seen in conventional fantasy stories on RoyalRoad, in my opinion.
The synopsis of The Jake Chakra Dragon's Grimoire: Death's Best Tale promises an ambitious, deeply philosophical fantasy that blends mysticism, ancient wisdom, and cosmic adventure. It introduces a unique premise, intertwining life and death through a powerful celestial force—the Jade Chakra Dragon—revealed in a moment of vulnerability.
It offers a fresh take compared to the more typical power-fantasy or cultivation-driven plots found on the platform.
When a powerless girl drops her Master’s Grimoire, an avalanche reveals the legendary Jade Chakra Dragon, unlocking the celestial Energy-Wand-of-Consciousness—granting access to the lost Arts of Escaping Dying & Living. Set across a timeline spanning 20 million years, the Lotus Born Avalokiteshvara rides the dragon’s head, bestowing powers upon the travelers of the Himalayas, including Drakos, a shepherd turned Soft-Spoken Hammonhand. Together, they embark on an epic journey to rescue souls caught between life and death, facing profound revelations about existence itself. Expect gripping chapters, deep cosmic exploration, and a transformative adventure beyond the physical and spiritual realms.

The story’s strengths lie in its originality, particularly in how it weaves elements of Eastern spirituality with progression fantasy tropes. The journey of the protagonist and her companions, including the transformed Drakos, offers both emotional depth and metaphysical intrigue.
How - Qiyue B.Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Looking forward to seeing more illustrations paired with novel lines—your work thrives on this fusion of visual and textual storytelling. The prologue, Beginning of Taichi?: Codex of Yin & Yan & Tibetan Book of the Dead, is already rich in spiritual symbolism and cosmological weight, and I can only imagine how further imagery will deepen that experience. You’ve managed to blend Chinese metaphysical philosophy with Tibetan Buddhism in a way that feels both respectful and narratively potent. The concept of Yin and Yang is not just referenced; it’s operational within the story’s unfolding realms. The addition of the Tibetan Bardo states as spiritual guideposts was particularly compelling—it introduces a metaphysical structure for characters and readers alike to navigate death, rebirth, and the consequences of action. The myth of King Shake is filled with consequence and pathos; I’d love to see his tale illustrated more vividly. These narrative anchors—the Heavenly Sword, the Demon Crone, the Investiture of the Gods—all deserve visual representation to match their narrative weight. I see so much potential for the next chapters to dive deeper into world-building and philosophy. Please continue this multimedia approach—it really elevates the thematic depth and mythic resonance of your story. Can’t wait to see what's next!

SEA, Msia - Xie3yi1Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0"Imagine a world where the boundaries between life and death are fluid, where the very fabric of existence is woven from threads of cosmic energy. This is the world of 'The Jade Chakra Dragon's Grimoire,' an epic fantasy that explores the profound mysteries of life, death, and the transformative power hidden within both. Our story begins with a seemingly ordinary girl, unaware of the destiny that awaits her. An accidental event—the dropping of an ancient text—awakens forces beyond her comprehension. This text, the Grimoire, is far more than a simple book; it’s a key, unlocking the secrets of the 'Arts of Dying and Living.' These Arts, detailed within the Grimoire's pages, are not mere spells or incantations but a structured system, a grammar of existence itself, a path to mastering the very essence of life and death."
"The Grimoire, a repository of ancient knowledge, reveals the existence of the Jade Chakra Dragon, a celestial being of immense power. This dragon, a symbol of cosmic energy, is inextricably linked to the Arts of Dying and Living. The Grimoire acts as a guide, detailing the intricate steps, the precise techniques, the fundamental principles required to navigate this delicate balance between life and death. Our protagonist, guided by the wisdom within the Grimoire, begins her journey alongside an unlikely companion: Drakos, a transformed shepherd, now a conduit of cosmic power, a living embodiment of the Arts. Together, they face seemingly insurmountable challenges, traversing landscapes that shift between worlds, encountering beings both divine and terrifying. Every step forward is a lesson, every obstacle overcome a testament to their growing mastery of the Arts detailed within the Grimoire."
"The Grimoire doesn't simply offer power; it demands responsibility. The Arts of Dying and Living are not merely to be wielded but understood, mastered, and used wisely. Through trials and tribulations, our protagonists learn to interpret the Grimoire's - Any@BoydRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Hi Frank,
I just wanted to say that The Jade Chakra Dragon's Grimoire is a truly fascinating fantasy power fiction. I haven’t come across anything quite like it, especially in the way you blend these different genres into one cohesive narrative. It feels fresh and original, and the unique elements of your world-building and character dynamics definitely caught my attention. As someone who’s also deeply invested in reading and writing within this genre, I wanted to share some thoughts and feedback on how you could continue to develop and refine the story, particularly with respect to maintaining the balance of complexity that you’ve already started building.
I’ve been following your updates closely, especially the Instructions Level-#(1) section, and I’ve cross-referenced some of the ideas back to what’s happening in the fiction. One thing I’ve noticed is the richness of the world you’ve created—the depth of the lore and the intriguing powers your characters wield. However, as the story progresses, I’d like to offer some thoughts on areas where you could enhance the narrative, keeping in mind both the complexity and emotional impact you’ve set up.
First, when it comes to the dialogue in your story, I think you’re on the right track. It’s engaging and serves the plot well. However, one thing to consider as you move forward is avoiding moments where the dialogue could potentially feel “preachy” or too overtly moralistic. This can sometimes detract from the immersion in a fantasy world. Instead, I suggest focusing on the principle of "show, don’t tell." Rather than having characters deliver explicit moral lessons, let their actions, relationships, and decisions speak to their values and beliefs. You’ve already created complex, layered characters, so letting them act and react within the plot can convey their inner struggles and philosophies more naturally. For instance, instead of directly stating beliefs or lessons, let characters’ interactions with the world or other - Jason M.Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0The synopsis structure could benefit from a more direct presentation of the core plot, providing a clearer entry point for readers. For example, beginning with the powerless girl’s fateful discovery and its immediate consequences would create a more engaging and grounded opening. This approach would anchor readers in her personal journey before transitioning into the larger cosmic elements of the story.
Additionally, while the themes explored are rich, the synopsis could be more impactful if the stakes were clearly tied to the emotional and personal journeys of the characters. For instance, how does Dashi Def’s fate influence not only the course of the plot but also the growth of the characters? What does her experience say about the nature of life and death, and how might the companions’ transformations reflect universal truths about human existence?
Some phrases like “Innumerable Universes' Longitude, Magnitude” and “Equator of Consciousness” have a poetic quality but may come across as abstract or hard to grasp. Grounding these concepts with more tangible imagery or relatable metaphors would help engage readers and make the themes more accessible.
Lastly, emphasizing the emotional depth of the characters, particularly the girl and Drakos, through a poignant, personal moment would not only deepen their connection but also make their journey feel more relatable to the audience. - Omapa12141Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Your Prologue - Immortal Abodes; 3 Realms Celestial Court; Human World’s Death Destroyer Calamity
The photos are wonderful.
As of the text, I noticed that your next chapter will be on an extention of the same. Let’s see wha’t in front of us:
The Catalyst of Calamity
*The celestial hierarchy was divided into eight ranks:
The four upper ranks: Thunder, Fire, Pestilence, and the Big Dipper.
The four lower ranks: Celestial constellations, mountain and river deities, rain-bringing spirits, and guardians of good and evil.
*Those with lesser spiritual cultivation found their names inscribed, sealing their fates. Meanwhile, the earthly conflict between the Shake and Métier Dynasties mirrored the celestial power struggles, entangling mortal politics with divine rivalries.
*Taichi of consciousness transition, and spiritual rites.
Your prologue of 'Snow Lotus Avatar' sets the stage for an intriguing narrative that blends elements of fantasy, adventure, and possibly spiritual growth. Here's a detailed comment on the prologue:
Setting and Atmosphere
The prologue introduces readers to a mystical and harsh environment, likely a high-altitude mountain range where the snow lotus, a rare and sacred flower, thrives. The vivid descriptions of the icy winds and the treacherous terrain create a palpable sense of isolation and danger. This setting not only serves as a backdrop but also as a character in its own right, influencing the events and the protagonist's journey.
Introduction of the Protagonist
The protagonist, whose identity is hinted at but not fully revealed in the prologue, is introduced as someone on a quest. The mention of the snow lotus suggests a journey of significance, possibly tied to a larger destiny or a personal mission. The protagonist's determination to reach the snow lotus despite the perilous conditions hints at a strong-willed character, setting up expectations for their development throughout the story.
Themes and Symbolism

Śri’-verā is a teenage trainee of humble origins with slow-progressing skills. She
works as a kitchen hand at the Himalayas Practice House of The Book of the Dead while spending seven years learning Sanskrit mantras from her guru, Rainbow-Share.
Amidst her daily chores—part of the temple’s one-meal-a-day tradition—Śri’ spends her time wandering the secluded valleys sometimes with her childhood companion, Tashī Dalāi. Together, they seek out sacred meditation caves and ancient tomb sites.
On the Yin-Yang Year of the Jade Chakra Dragon, 1.1.2025, Śri is tragically killed in an ice avalanche—an attack orchestrated by the Crone Shatterer.
Apparent this is only a portion of a longer synopsis:
This synopsis presents an intriguing foundation for a coming-of-age narrative set in a richly imagined spiritual landscape. Śri’-verā’s humble background and slow progress as a trainee immediately set up an underdog arc with emotional potential. Her role as a kitchen hand juxtaposed with her Sanskrit studies suggests themes of discipline, humility, and inner transformation. The friendship with Tashī Dalāi and their exploration of sacred sites adds depth and a sense of adventure. The sudden, violent death at the hands of the Crone Shatterer introduces a sharp tonal shift, promising darker stakes and mythic conflict. Overall, this seems like just a fragment of a broader story—one that could blend mysticism, personal growth, and tragedy in a vivid, high-concept setting. - GugepinyinRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Your fiction though rather short, yet that's pretty good. But I would brush up if time permits. I know, I know, a fiction page could take up a year to finish. There is a gap between the opening description to the next chapter, I think. And I saw others, they always hinted the journey of the protagonist, especially on Power Fantacy genre. Just a bit of comments,
all the best, mate,
Cheers, - SWFRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I really like the change of name and I think that the way in which the information is presented now is more complete and gives the reader a much better understanding of where the plot is going and who the characters are. It'll be great to keep focusing on keeping the reader engage with understanding why this particular Quest is progressing and getting the backstory moving in the narrative will help I think in working the readers mind into the way in which this fantasy is constructed and appreciating at the depth of background and historical referencing that is going on.
- BrokenQuillRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I won’t say much about your work, but I think you need to fix your synopsis. It feels like there’s too much information, and some of it doesn’t make sense. From chapters 1 to 2 (or 3), it’s overly informative, and as a new reader, I’m not sure if this is a sequel or not. If it is, that explains the synopsis and the chapters, but if it isn’t, I’d suggest going back to chapter 1 and re-reading your work. It’s not a bad story, but it’s too descriptive at times. There’s so much happening that you don’t explain properly, which makes it confusing when you move on to another topic. Being descriptive is fine, but constantly doing so lowers the emotional impact. For example, one descriptive section might be moving, but when followed by another equally detailed section, it starts to feel like a drag. Shortening some sentences and balancing the flow would help. You should also proofread your chapters; although it might sound nice while writing, reading it back may show areas that need to be shortened or edited. I didn’t fully understand what’s going on— I remember a girl drop an ancient tablet, and a dog start talking? There are too many things happening too fast. Stretching out the chapters to explain these events would make it easier to follow. If I don’t understand what’s happening, I’m less likely to keep reading. I’ll try reading it again later. Good luck!👍
