=============================
Life was boring and repetitive, until a vintage video game disc titled Dungeon End became the spark that changed everything.
Orphaned since birth, the protagonist found purpose in gaming, spending a decade climbing to the final floor. But instead of victory, he was pulled into the game itself, waking up as Leon, a street rat with a seemingly useless skill.
Now, the dungeon he once conquered is a brutal reality where every choice means life or death. Without a screen to rely on, he must turn his weak ability into a weapon, or be swallowed by the world he once played.
Slimemancer is a LitRPG adventure where the line between game and reality shatters, and survival is the only quest that matters.

- AdeminoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The thing about isekais and LitRPGs is that it is hard to care for characters you do not at least feel somewhat identified with. Leon scratches that spot in such an unexpected manner that it caught me off guard. Since the very beginning, it is impossible not to want to know what will happen.
The only other of this genre that had me this hooked was Delve, and I used to reread that thing a few times for a couple of years.
Honestly, it's simply perfect. What little of the world we know is so interesting, and yet there is so much to know.
I don't know how you managed to make such a small world so full of things. It feels like magic. - DrevartRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Great story so far with a rather interesting setting and premise. I was always a sucker for "transported into a game world" hook.
Hope to see more chapters soon and there're no downsides in the novel so far
The best part, IMO is the skill system of the world, I just can't wait to see how the MC would use his skillset for his advantage - NegsBetilRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0TLDR
Orphan is left at orphanage with a copy of Dwarf Fortress with only adventure mode roguelike
Orphan leaves orphanage and gets addicted to Dwarf Fortress
Orphan beats 100th floor of dungeon
Orphan enters game world
Shenanigans ensue
There is a focus on mc's metaknowledge but things are alot more riskier due to the RNG nature of the setting and he struggles alot atleast starting out but he uses good synergies and tricks to get ahead - The_nizioRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0What a big surprise, in the beginning I was already liking it, thinking "ok, it's like every other novel but I like it" well. Well I was wrong, with just four chapter all my previous conceptions about the story changed completely. Obviously I am not telling you guys what was it.
I really like the theame of only one dungeon incredible harder, where people usually die stead of prosper. I am betting all in this novel, personally, the way how the author writes glads me.
I am a orphan of "dungeon devote", looks like I find a new father. - gardener27Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5The world is intriguing and the characters feel real. The MC’s ability to take advantage of everything feels fun and relatable. The author didn’t reuse the trope of MC getting some overpowered ability and blowing through all challenges with ease.
Update: MC made his ability strong to the point of being potentially OP even after that he still remains as cautious and careful as before. - ArnavguptaRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The story is good, thrilling, easygoing with small stakes stuff to begin with. The chapter lengths and story length altogether is short so 1 less star for that.
Writing style is sort of immature but not absolutely unreadable. On a scale of 1 to 10 : a solid 7.
The character is a little shallow right now, but I'm hoping he will grow as the story progresses. - AdvisorVisorRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I read through the first book at the time of this review.
Everything here is impressive. The setting feels expansive. There's a fascinating interpersonal dynamic where humans feel just as monstrous as the dungeon's denizens. And as disposable. People die like the slimes. You're not pulling your punches, and it clearly adds great weight to the "miserably weak -> actually kind of strong" transition. The world is detailed and completely convincing, ensuring the battle is credible and not just a plot outline. This is definitely a story of tension and barely-scraping by. Overwhelming disadvantage and overwhelming knowledge enter the arena, and only one will leave.
So why is that star missing half?
Because of the attempts to expand the story from just this scrappy dungeon rat to suddenly his success being the very thing that decides the fate of the earth itself. I don't think I liked the weird shift of perspective where one guy's survival suddenly becomes planetary importance. "MISTER PRESIDENT WE SURE HOPE THE GAMER IS WINNING."
I think your intentions make sense in trying to increase the tension. Perhaps adding a layer of commentary over his actions can be interesting. But it all felt very silly to me. It's like thinking turning up the volume knob makes the music better, you know?
Still, because I could literally edit the document and delete out the parts I dislike cleanly, it's hard to penalize you any further. This is otherwise an achievement, a perfect struggle against the odds worthy of study.
Edit:
After reading into the second volume, we see a trite sort of moralism start to bleed in, undermining that fascinating cutthroat atmosphere, and the author unfortunately starts to let the "earth needs you" part bleed into his journey. Given this further development, I degrade the rating to 3.5. What I enjoyed in the first book pretty much rots away in the second volume. - OzniRoyal Road★★★ 3.0It seems that English may not be the author's first language, which is understandable and shows their effort to communicate. However, some linguistic errors can make the text a bit challenging to follow at times. Additionally, the heavy use of foreshadowing might make the story feel somewhat predictable, even though it has a straightforward plot. The characters could benefit from more development, and the repetition of certain information tends to feel more like filler rather than contributing to the overall story progression. With some refinement, this piece has the potential to be much more engaging.
- TheNormanRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The MC just feels a little too slow for me. Maybe it gets better later on, but he can't figure out how to evade a creature hunting by sound (that seems fairly slow and possibly completely blind otherwise) by throwing a slime away from himself. He could also command it (silently, as was shown possible) to move away from him after throwing it. He gets messed up pretty badly and only gets a single xp from it and so I'm left feeling that the fight was only meant to show how 'dangerous' the setting is.
Maybe it gets better, but when the MC is only going to survive because of luck/plot armor (to the first mob), then I lose interest. - HackfruchtsalatRoyal Road★ 0.5(I read the amazon release till B2 Ch.3)
The slime summoning is very fun & has a lot of potential. Unfortunately a load of show and tell at the same time and similar issues that are mostly just "inexperienced author" stuff make it harder to read all the parts that aren't about the ability. I would've thought those to be fixed in an "official release" but I guess I have no idea how those are edited after all. Then there's the
real world stuff, which could be a fun plot point - tho not my personal preference. However as it is currently it seems more born from a desperate desire to include the xianxia typical "bystanders opinions" than a storyline ready to stand on its own.
