- fanobodyRoyal Road★★★ 2.5I like the style.
Grammar is a problem, it is like the author didn't re read his story because there are sentense that lack word or is porly constructed. I am not a grammar nazi but when you can't concentrate on the story because of it many times the score go down.
Story: it is a power fantasy of summon heros and defeat the demon king withour mc being the different hero of the bunch. I have a problem with it when the mc say he would like to be part of the slave market and hit a kid(ok she is older than the mc but act as a kid) after her butler say to take care of her. The author should put a Traumatising content tag.
Character: Are all over the place. A girl describled as rich noble brat that go where she should not and treat the other as servan is revelated to be a exiled noble that is abused. Mc was a ceo and he learned ancien greek for business... He learned a death language for a buisness... when he said himself that he is surprised to learn a language in a month with hero cheat...
Apart from that i liked some character like the rival captain. - lalasuRoyal Road★★★ 2.5I know that's not a mandatory rule you have to stick to every time. But what the author is doing is essentially writing some descriptions and summarizing what happened. He says 'MC is clever', MC can perfectly socialize despite his character', 'MC has fooled everyone with his perfect acting', etc. But this is just the author stating it in plain text. No dialogues, no actual scenes, no interacting with classmates besides the author saying 'he interacted with them for a whole year'. It feels like reading a system log.
It might be that the author did it to get through the summoning chapters faster, but do you really need to turn your first chapters (that will influence your reader's opinion the most) into the bland porridge of words?
The story might get better after that; I'll never know.
The other problem is that MC's character is boring. He doesn't like socializing, he needs no friends, and he needs no romance. The author's style of writing makes it worse because MC doesn't even talk. The author is doing it for him.
MC feels like an autistic kid that can do just one thing right, in exchange he will do it better than anyone else.
I wish we could have some tag like 'dead inside' because 'anti-hero' and 'villainous lead' tags are full of novels with main characters like that and it's almost impossible to make them interesting. You need to be really skilled to pull it off.
The story itself is generic, tropes we all know like class summoning, brainwashing, discarded 'looser', blood magic, probable slavery, and so on. The only novelty is that MC doesn't care about what is happening. - angryfanRoyal Road★★ 1.5I have read up to chapter 83 and from chapter 30 to 83 only around a week has passed. Yes that is right the author used 50 chapters to describe a week in this novel. This is not a slice of life novel. He really decided to pull out all the stops to get his word count up. He wrote a chapter about buying regular clothes, taking a bath, useless talking where the nothing really happens.
This novel is full of chapters that really should be paragraphs. The author seems to put the word count above all else even the story. Most of the character building chapters feel like filler chapters, because the characters really do not follow logical or emotional thinking. Chapters where the characters show feelings are not well written and do not make sense in a way that a real person might act.
If the author was not so worried about putting out as many chapters as possible and actually made each chapter relevant to the story it would be a okay novel. If the author then built on that and thought more about the charaters as real people instead of stereotypical anime characters it would be a good novel.
