Mirror bugs are wonderful creatures that can become anything they want. The lucky ones at least. Frightened ones can be scared into birds. Captured ones can be forged into living machines. Vengeful ones can become monsters that stop at nothing to avenge their sisters.

When Sliver loses everything, she is determined to become more powerful than all humans combined to destroy all of them. As she slowly gains strength, she makes a deal with an ancient god who will help her destroy everything in her path in exchange for her suffering. But the stronger their bond becomes, the more her hunger for revenge grows, even when there’s nothing left to avenge.
