Sins of the Fathers (A Dungeon Story)

Description
Extract from the histories of Hogenbach, written by the grand historian and self-proclaimed drunkard Gregor Meinzt.
"Ah Hogenbach, a crumbling shithole of a kingdom situated in the arse end of nowhere. A land of rolling hills, cold winters and home to a population of short and bitter people. A terrible land. Yet it is here that the greatest calamity of the modern realm took place. It was here that the writhing dungeon was born.
Some call Viktor Grieswald a hero, others curse the name. And yet fewer still know him for what he truly was. His was a sad existence, made to shoulder the burdens of an entire realm. He helped, he harmed and he left a trail of destruction in his wake, he will always be my friend.
But know this, whatever your opinion on the man, nay the monster is, one thing is true. The world will never be the same after his presence, we made sure of that."
AN: Alright, this is a dark fantasy dungeon story without the use of reincarnated characters or a system. Yes, I tagged it litRPG as it uses game elements, no these do not include a status screen. Read onwards if you dare.

- LightningShadow7Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0The grammar is impeccable, (At least from chapters 1-3 that's all that is available right now) it has a very interesting premise, and the start absolutely hooked me, I will definitely recommend this book. (For now at least and I might update if my opinion changes)
- PhiFellRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0(as of chapter -8-)
This might end up being my favorite dungeon story. Can't know for sure until there's more out, but the start is A+. Reasonably original start, no bullshit reincarnation from another world stuff, not childish or anything (so many RRL stories have really unbelievable characters or a plot that just makes no sense. Thus far I have no complaints). Protagonist seems smart and logical if a little bit strong, but not OP. Thats way more than I can say about some of the stories here. Gonna add this to my tiny list of good dungeon stories. Definitely worth reading, hope it doesn't get dropped.
To the author: got linked here from warlord. I liked where that story was going, but I already like this one better. Please don't drop this one anytime soon (or ever 😁) .The world needs more good dungeon stories and I need more to feed my addiction. - KezdetRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0still early in the story, so for now based on what I've read its neato.
story. Gets 4 for being a nifty dungeon story.
overall looks worth waiting ta see what more will come. - King_FrostRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0As or chapter 10.
As my title says, I do like it. It is the beginning so it is quite hard to see where the story is going but from what I saw, it has much potential.
When it comes to charachter, not many are introduced yet but we could already see that they are unique and interesting. The MC is quite young so it is normal for him to some doubtful decisions but it just adds some realism to the story without being annoying too which is great.
Grammar is fine. English not being my first language I might have missed a few but there was nothing interupting the flow of the story and it is quite better than most of RRL's fictions.
It is generally a first person POV which is nice and there are some different POV which is also good as it allow us to understand better the side charachters.
All in all, I recommend this fiction to pretty much everyone and i await for more in the hope of seeing a complete Fiction for once.
Thanks for the great job Cataphract! - Moist NuggetRoyal Road★ 0.5The style is good, the grammar is almost always impeccable, the plot is phenomenal and the characters were slowly being fleshed out. This should lead to at least a 4 star review, correct?
Well don't bother reading this story for now. The author kept being asked if he would continue the story, answering "yes", but as always, the good stuff is dropped.
Making it 1/2 star so that people that enjoyed the fantastic 10 chaps and rated it highly won't bring in new readers, causing more people to rate it highly. Dropped stories don't deserve to be at the top.
Will change the review if this is ever picked up again.
