Kali and Kendi are twins born out of a mistake. With all odds against them– a hateful mother, a cruel castle court, and a distant king, they struggle to survive in a world that wants them dead.

"If you want someone to burn so badly, climb into the fire yourself."

Blessed with spiritual powers, they can tell no one, and only have themselves to rely on.

"If not for my goodwill you would have been dead-- dead you hear me!"
